"Staff friendly, bathroom in room bright and clean."

"The bathroom was dirty, the toilet seat wasn't on straight. Blood on the bed sheet. Staff were not interested and unhelpful. We had to pay to park at the hotel when we arrived. We thought we would try to spa and we also had to pay for that. We asked for towels in the spa and the staff just shrugged and said there wasn't any. The changing rooms were dirty and no lockers to put valuables. The steam room was set at the temperature of the sun and the sauna wasn't on "

"We stayed in a classic room, which was spacious and comfortable. You can park at the front of the hotel to unload then move your car. Breakfast had a varied choice although slow with the tea & coffee. "

"The hotel.was ideally situated to explore Buxton. The area where the hotel was is lovely and quiet. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 1 night which usually means you get a small room but the room was a good size. The floorboards outside in the corridors are very creaky which kept us awake at times and had we stayed longer it would have disturbed our sleep but other than that I would definitely stay here again."

"Property was clean and ready for our stay. Our only issue were the bed mattresses were much more firm than we would have wanted. "

"Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay."

"It was comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for exploring the area. Comfortable beds, everything one needed in the kitchen, big bathroom and large dining/sitting room. Wasn't keen on open plan bedrooms upstairs, where one could see and hear everything that was said and done in the other bedroom."
