"Lots of beds. Seemed like everyone was comfortable enough. We loved the firepit, the big porch, and the outdoor shower. Good communication with the host. Our only critiques: we wished the light over the dining table was brighter, and the furniture on the porch isn't the most comfy! But honestly, that's it. Extremely minor stuff. It was a great weekend and a very comfortable stay for our 8-person Girls Weekend."

"The house was great for our family of five. We enjoyed Beachwalk and all the amenities including the pool, fishing pond and kayaking. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Anders was an excellent host. He kept us updated and made sure we were comfortable in his home."

"Host was very accommodating. Allowed us to check in early and the home lost power for 2 days due to severe storm. Our host checked in often to ensure we were Ok and was always asking if we needed anything. Highly recommend!"

"The condo itself was nice enough, and the balcony was a great. The beach and views were awesome. Host communication was very good. The only downside for us was that it wasn’t particularly dog-friendly, as there were no grassy areas nearby for dogs."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We honestly had a wonderful time. The location was great and so close to the beach and the property was nice and clean. We had our 6 month old baby with us as well. We kept it organized the whole time which helped with the flow and being organized with our daughter. The couch was nice and comfy and the kitchen was nice too- however, the bed frame was broken on the right side, which made it so loud getting on and off the bed. Also- we were pretty hot- the AC was working but it’s a smaller unit, and we felt warmer most of the time. We had to turn it pretty low to get comfy. Overall, it was a nice stay. Those are the only 2 things I’d correct."

However, it was not clean at all. The amount of money we pay for a cleaning fee was NOT put to good use for this rental."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great trip/experience at The Splash Pad. With our family, 3 kids under 7 years of age, it was a perfect location with the pool/splash pad, and activities right out the door from us. Easy to come and go! I was worried we would need a golf cart, but the walk to the beach, with the beach wagon they provided, was fairly easy and quick. House was clean and stocked with enough items to get you through first day without running to grocery store (toilet paper, trash bags, etc..). The Beachwalk Resort is great to work with and were very responsive with any needs."

"Just got home from our 29th Wedding Anniversary stay at the Lake House . I would tell anyone who is planning a stay here to book an extra day or two. Sand gravity was real for us as the beach was so perfect during our Aug 7 & Aug 8 visit. There is so much to do and see not only in the town of Michigan City but on the property as well . I could not get enough of the massage chair . AMAZING !! I saw a mom & baby deer from the balcony . Seeing the deer made my whole night ! We made waffles and headed out to the beach to rock hunt , visited the lighthouse , had many great meals & cocktails . This was a 4. 1/2 hr drive from our home in Illinois . Very worth it . We hope to come back each year . Can’t think of any negatives other than it was a little tricky to get out of the parking spot but it seems like that’s the norm in the area . I’m not sure who I spoke to via email but the Manager onsite was very kind & respected our privacy . Next time we will book a longer stay . Thank you for sharing your home with us . The Mueller’s from Illinois ."
