Hotel is great but empty mini bar
I enjoyed my stay clean and big room. Loved the corner room . And the floor to ceiling windows are amazing to look over the beach. Nice gym. Huge and grand looking lobby. The only thing I would complain about is that the hotel messaged me to say that the mini bar is free but there was nothing in the mini bar.

Check in experience not good
They looked like didn’t check advanced request to arrange two rooms at the same floor for family. No international brand Visa/Master card to deposit, their scanning portable machine cannot accept 4 digit pins. They just say we accept only Wechat, Alipay or this China brand visa/master card scanner. Are you sure for those coming from other countries??? It was not flexible services as the Hyatt Regency. If your kids want to swim in the seaside, better to come before and after green seaweeds season. You can not even get close by the smell and the endless green seaweeds.

Stress free stay
Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was super easy. Staff at the front desk spoke adequate English. Location is fantastic to beach and Lion Mall.

Rooms on the 5th floor are not desirable
In general, the hotel is nice enough. However, we had two different types of rooms, the rooms on 5th floor are not nice. They get the barbecue smell from downstairs restaurant, and in the mid of night we heard machine noise coming from under... If you book this hotel, definitely demand for higher floors, NO 5th FLOOR!

Qingdao is beautiful
Best China beach and beachfront walking. Truly great. Blue water, clean waves, sand and rocky beach, lots of parks. Qingdao and this area in particular are well wirth a visit.

Language problems
In comparing to my stay last year, the room whas not as good, not as clean and not helpful at the reception. Staff could not speak proper English, by every question it went over 3-4 people and finally you still get not the right answer. For the price they charge per night you would expect better service.

Beautiful beach front hotel
Beautiful beach front hotel. Good for a relaxing time. However, surrounding area doesn’t offer the variety of food choices. Granted there are 2 malls close by, but they do not offer too much. Honestly, if I’m not too picky, it’s a very nice place to stay and unwind

Nice Stay
Loved this hotel! The amenities were great and the hotel itself is very beautiful. My dad really enjoyed having some English channels to watch. The Beba Bar was a nice place to hang out at night with live music!

Great Seaside Hotel
Stayed in winter, so wasn’t able to take advantage of its wonderful proximity to the beach. Nonetheless, the property is beautiful and offers gorgeous views of the sea. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for seaside luxury. If you have business downtown, though, you may want to find a hotel closer to the city center.

I have stayed here 6 times, although this review is spefically for my family's recent stay in early December 2017. The view from this location is spectacular! Sweeping ocean views as well as views of Laoshan Mountain. The location is fairly near to Waterworld, which is great for kids, but not near to much else. Like the Hyatt Regencies in Taiwan and Singapore, the breakfast buffet here is truly superb, although pricey. The service at this hotel has always been top notch and so the only reason I am rating 4 stars in this review is due to the condition of our room (1625) during our recent stay. Although usually very tidy and "new" feeling, our room had ugly caulking around the shower door and the toilet was teetering and not tightly fastened to the floor. These issues are truly unusual to me considering the otherwise impeccable nature of this facility, but it tells me that management needs to watch the details a it better.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is is very nice. Unfortunately because of our short stay we could not use all the facilities. Check in was a bit slow and cumbersome but the rooms are great and the views are good.

Room and bath were a good size. Breakfast buffet was huge with something for everyone. The staff was top notch and took care of all our questions and transportation needs.
