"Comfortable but not super relaxing. White light everywhere and colorful flashing LED lights around the jacuzzi. Quite jarring. The entire hotel needs an urgent remodel. It looks very dated and old"

"Hotel El Silencio is wonderful! I have stayed here 2x when visiting Costa Rica. The staff is so nice and accommodating. The property is so serene and the animals at their farm are so much fun to check out. I recommend getting up early to go help with the farm animals, it's a fun experience. The food was delicious. The hot springs, pools and thermal spas are scattered throughout the property. This place offers a beautiful setting to disconnect and take in the surrounding nature. With amazing views of Arenal Volcano, it's a must stay."

"Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river). Bungalow was private and very clean. The room was cleaned daily and there was eco friendly hair products and toiletries. Room has a mini fridge, coffee maker and fresh water daily. Continental breakfast was amazing - at a restaurant on premises. Great selection! The springs were great- wasn’t a lot of people and we were able to enjoy it solo. The resort was beautiful and tranquil. You can hear the animals throughout the day esp the monkeys in the morning. We didnt get to see the monkey but we did see a sloth up in the tree- thanks to Ruben (who btw gave a great coffee/ chocolate tour). Big thank you to all the staff members- from the gentleman who greets you when entering, front desk staff, house keeping, and restaurant waiters/waitresses. All very pleasant and super helpful when we had any questions or concerns. Pura Vida. :) "
