"Host’s parents greeted us. They were wonderful - so nice to us at both check-in and when we were leaving the property. Very sweet. They however do not speak English making communication difficult. Their granddaughter on the phone was helpful. We think the owner of the property must live a distance away so his parents are the hosts.The home was clean and comfortable. Newer build with beautiful views of the river valley. All three bedrooms were upstairs with bathrooms en suite. We had a large 9 passenger van that barely negotiated the narrow driveway. To avoid the narrow driveway we needed to find suitable parking off site which proved difficult.Unlike some VRBOs, there was no soap in the showers. Nor was there a key to open a back door which could have served as a second exit in case of fire.Recommended restaurant in town was excellent. Good grocery store as well."

"We stayed here for about a week with our children aged 13 and 11. We loved our time here, the estate the apartments are on is beautiful. The apartment was clean and the staff are friendly and very responsive. Breakfast was delicious too. "

"This was a very nice, authentic stay in the Douro Valley region. The owner/host is very attentive and responsive. It was nice to have a 4 night resting place for this part of our Portugal trip and gave us a chance to relax and do laundry. View from the back patio is spectacular and bathroom has been updated and remodeled. The location ended up being a bit more remote than we expected and I should have reviewed the map closer to see how far it was to drive to the Vila Real wine region. But all in all it was a wonderful house with good amenities and friendly, helpful people all around!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this rustic house in Douro valley. Fatima was very kind and helpful, and took the time to answer all my questions, in spite of having a family emergency. The location is pretty remote, so make sure to pick up groceries and essentials en route. I think a car is a must. The views are spectacular. It wasn't yet warm enough to use the pool, but I'm sure it'll be lovely in the summer. On the other hand, it was early spring and the orange blossoms and wisteria scented the air, wildflowers were everywhere, and there were fewer crowds. Feels like a good tradeoff to me! "
