The villa is a typical Tuscan country house, has been carefully restored in harmony with the traditional style, with wooden beams and terracotta floors and finely furnished with period furniture and modern facilities.

The property is surrounded by a large garden and is equipped with an inviting (14x6x1.50-2m. (Deep) private swimming pool, available from May to October and a panoramic loggia for eating and relaxing outdoors. The estate that combines rustic style with all modern comforts has now been converted into an idyllic rental accommodation.

Authentic and amazing

You have all the amenities of a large, historic villa - and also the real farmland all around you. Sheep, horses, dogs - beautiful, and not in your personal space (unless you want them to be!). Pasqualina and her son Francesco are perfect hosts. Incredibly responsive, even with a language barrier. If I return to Tuscany I would want to stay here again. Thank you so much.

True Peace and Quiet in a Spectacular Setting

Our group of 8 lovers of food and wine thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable and spacious villa, isolated on a hilltop amongst the sheep and with 360 degree views of the Tuscan countryside and the charming small village of Radicondoli. Perfect for visiting many fascinating villages, towns, and cities of Tuscany, preparing meals of pasta and truffles with local wines, sampling freshly-pressed olive oil from nearby producers, and tasting at generations-old wineries. The one glitch we had was a request for payment of a check-out cleaning fee that was noted nowhere in the contract, but VRBO stood behind our agreement and our gracious host relented. We would happily return, and perhaps with less rainy weather, even enjoy the beautiful pool that would be quite a bonus in warmer times!

Wonderful villa - great time had by all!

I stayed at this property for 1 week with my parents, my sisters and their husbands and 3 children (aged 1-6) and all I can say is what a wonderful villa. The layout was ideal for us. 3 bedrooms were located upstairs accessed by the external stairs, 2 had en-suites and the other had a bathroom next door) and there was also a seating area up there. One bedroom was based downstairs off the main living area with a bathroom next door. And the other bedroom was in the annexe which was accessed around the side of the property and had its own kitchenette and bathroom. A lot of our time was spent at the table outside under the veranda and by the swimming pool. The pool was cleaned each morning. The children enjoyed playing on the grass and running laps of the property. We were visited daily by the very friendly little black and white dog and her friend the black cat. We also had a visit from two livestock guardian dogs who were also very friendly. We are very much a family of animal lovers so this was very welcome. The property itself was very well maintained and clean. The location itself is quite rural with about a 10 minute drive to the small village of Radicondoli (5mins to get down the track from the house to the main road). Overall we all loved this villa and would love to stay again one day. Pasqualina and her family were very kind and welcoming. Grqzie!

Beautiful Villa!

Our stay at Villa Costa was magical! The setting is so picturesque, peaceful & serene. Even though the hosts did not speak English, they went out of their way to make sure all of our questions were answered (bless Google Translate). Definitely the high point of our trip to Tuscany! Highly recommend.

Wonderfully relaxing stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside

The villa sits in splendid isolation on a small hill with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and of Radicondoli to the North. The house is extremely spacious with 4 simply furnished bedrooms in the main house (1 downstairs and 3 upstairs, accessed via the outside steps) and a further one in the attached annex to the rear of the property - which we didn't need or use; all bedrooms have their own bathroom. There is no air-conditioning but, even in the heat of August, we found open windows and fans were sufficient. We made lots of use of the pool, which is huge and well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for shade. The local village of Radicondoli is a 15 minute drive away as the direct road is closed by a landslide - but apparently this road is due to reopen in September 2020. Radicondoli is an undiscovered gem with cobbled streets, spectacular views and at least three good quality, reasonably priced restaurants - two of which we tried. We also visited Sienna (lovely), Volterra (too touristy) and San Gimignano (very nice) and had a late afternoon by the sea at Follonica (worth the 1 hour drive). Pasqualina was very helpful, quickly responding to any queries we had and, even though she speaks no English and we speak no Italian, we found Google Translate, gestures and miming were all we needed. For much of the year we thought our visit to Tuscany would be impossible due to the Coronavirus but we consider ourselves fortunate that things resolved just in time to enable us to go to Italy and could not have picked a better place to spend our holiday.

Die Bilder im Inserat können bei weitem nicht wiedergeben, wie schön und groß das Haus ist. Geräumige Schlaf- und Badezimmer, ein riesiges Wohnzimmer, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und viiiiiel Platz um das Haus herum. Es ist wirklich alles für einen erholsamen Urlaub vorhanden. Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel mit wundervoller Rumdumsicht auf die Landschaft und Radicondoli. Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub verbracht mit gelegentlichen Besuchen von Hund, Katze und Papagei (kein Scherz). Die Besitzerfamilie ist überaus sympathisch und hilfsbereit mit guten Tipps für Restaurants in der Umgebung. Unser Tipp: „Pergola“ in Radicondoli und Trattoria „La Fornace“ fünf Autominuten entfernt, toskanische Küche und Flair in Reinkultur…. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen…

Idylle trifft Romantik

Wir, 8 Erwachsene und 2 kleine Kinder, haben den Aufenthalt voll genossen. Jeden Morgen wurde der Pool gereinigt und Pasqualina hat uns jeden Extra-Wunsch erfüllt. Zum Geburtstag gab es eine selbstgebackene Torte von ihr. Unsere erwachsenen Kinder genossen die separaten Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad/Dusche/Toilette sehr. Gut zu wissen, dass die Villa still und abseits liegt, sodass man unbedingt im Vorfeld in einem Supermarkt genügend Vorräte einkauft. Ab und an haben sprichwörtlich Spaß-Bremsen (d. h. echte Bremsen) den Badespaß beeinträchtigt. Dennoch kommen wir sehr gerne wieder. Für uns bleibt auf jeden Fall ein wunderschöne Woche in Erinnerung.

Excellent vacation!

The villa and the location is just excellent, with breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills and the nice little village of Radicondoli. We loved the place. The only little downside is the amount of flies, probably due to the sheeps and pigs living on the surrondings. The host Pasqualina was very helpful and quick to answer any question.

Wunderbare Tage in einem exquisiten Ambiente. Wir wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Pasqualina und Guiseppe sind sehr sympathisch und extrem hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist groß und perfekt gepflegt, die Aussicht spektakulär. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über ein separates Bad, das macht die Reise sehr angenehm. Radicondoli ist dazu ein zauberhaftes Dorf. Man braucht ein Auto, da die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten relativ weit entfernt liegen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Danke, Pasqualina und Guiseppe.

Wunderbares, großzügiges und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Domizil mit Pool für eine große Familie.

In dieser traumhaften Lage mit sehr großzügigem Platzangebot genossen wir ein intensives Toskanaerlebnis mit kulturellen und sportlichen Unternehmungen. Wir fühlten uns gut betreut von der Vermieterin. Die Ausstattung in der Küche mit Geschirr, Besteck und Geschirrtüchern könnte großzügiger sein. Sehr positiv empfanden wir die zu allen Zimmern vorhandenen gepflegten Bäder und das große und immer saubere Schwimmbecken.

Familienurlaub

Wir waren mit zwei Familien im Urlaub. Die Zimmer sowie auch die Küche und Bäder waren sehr sauber. Der Pool wurde jeden Morgen gereinigt. Der untere Stock ist mit dem Obergeschoss durch eine Aussentreppe verbunden. Die Lage auf dem Hügel ist sehr schön und ruhig. Vom Grundstück aus hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die umliegenden Hügel mit den kleinen Dörfern. Das nächste Dorf Radicondoli ist in ca. 15 Minten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir haben die zwei Wochen Urlaub sehr genossen und können das Ferienhaus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und gibt auch gerne Tipps für Restaurants usw..

Schöne liebevolle Anlage

Schöne Anlage zum ruhigen entspannen. Zentral gelegen für Ausflüge . Größere Supermärkte etwas weit. Nur über Umweg zu erreichen da die direkte Straße nach Radicondoli schon über Jahre gesperrt ist.

Underbart hus med magisk utsikt!

Pasqualina svarade snabbt på frågor via meddelanden innan vi kom och mötte upp oss för att visa vägen till huset och visade oss runt. Hon var mycket trevlig men eftersom hon inte pratar engelska blev det lite krångligt. Med hjälp av Google translate fick vi dock reda på vad vi behövde :-) Huset är stort och rymligt. Vi var 12+1 barn på 3 år. Det finns en separat lägenhet med egen ingång på baksidan som var perfekt till 2 vuxna. På bottenvåningen med ingång vid uteplatsen fanns kök, vardagsrum och ett stort sovrum och toalett. På övervåningen, som nås via stentrappan på utsidan av huset, fanns tre sovrum (två med egna badrum) samt ett vardagsrum och en toalett. Allt var rent och fräscht. Det bästa med huset var den stora poolen och utsikten från trädgården över kullarna och med byn Radicondoli som bakgrund på en topp längre bort. Många fantastiska solnedgångar fick vi bevittna! Tyvärr var vägen ännu inte lagad till byn vilket gjorde att vi fick åka en omväg på ca 20 minuter runt dalen för att åka på utflykter. Detta visste vi dock i förväg men eftersom vägen är liten och kurvig blev det tillslut ganska tröttsamt. Det avskilda läget är däremot kanon för ett stort sällskap! Missa inte att boka en middag i Radicondoli på La Pergola på uteterassen där vi åt resans bästa pizzor till en magisk solnedgång! Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vecka i huset!

Das Gesamtfazit ist absolut positiv. Für das schlechte Wetter konnte niemand etwas. Schade, dass die direkte Verbindung (ca. 6 km) nach Radicondoli immer noch gesperrt war, wird wohl auch so bleiben. Pasqualina, Guiseppe und Stefan sei nochmals gedankt, für ihre Freundlichkdeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Die Vermieter sprechen NUR italienisch. Eine kleine Hausordnung in englisch/deutsch wäre sehr hilfreich (Wohin gehört der Müll? Mülltrennung? Wohin mit der Asche vom Kamin? Was ist bei Stromausfall zu tun? Was bei Ausfall der Wasserpumpe? (Wir hatten Starkregen)
