Cielsereno (serene skies) forms part of the country house, Casanuova, which stands on one of the most lovely of the Siennese hills with an unforgettable view of the Cecina valley. Not far from the historic centres of Sienna, Florence, Volterra and San Galgano, it offers too the chance to reach easily the coast with the nearby Puntala and Castiglione della Pescaia. We have restored the house, whose origins go back to 1600, with dedication, respect for tradition and attention to detail.

  • #TroveOn Yes, Monteriggioni just might be the quintessential walled medieval village in Tuscany. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). The major gate tourists will use when coming from the parking lot, Porta Franca, owes its name to the Via Francigena--Monteriggione was a major stop on the pilgrimage trail from Cantebury to Rome. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta will offer assistance with housing for modern pilgrims traveling the Francigena pilgrimage route. Monteriggioni was a sleepy village of farmers and sheep herders as late as the 1960's. Today it exists entirely for tourists and pilgrims. You'll find wine shops, a tasting room, restaurants and hotels in the small village. This is not neccessarily a disadvantage, although some times it's nice to see some locals puttering about once in a while. Where is Monteriggioni? Monteriggioni is located in the province of Siena, 14km to the northwest of Siena (54km from Florence). While it can be done as a day trip from Siena, you might be better off staying the night--Monteriggioni is much more evocative when the tourists leave late in the afternoon and you can sit in a courtyard sipping a glass of Chianti. Monteriggioni is surrounded by vineyards, and is known for its wine production.

Tolle Wohnung in ruhiger Lage

Die Wohnung entspricht genau der Beschreibung, es ist alles vorhanden um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen. Besonders der Pool ist klasse und natürlich die wunderschöne Aussicht. Matthias war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Der Kochkurs bei Christiana war ein absolutes Highlight.

Un séjour idyllique

L'appartement de Matthias est grand, propre, au calme et bien équipé. Le linge de maison est fourni et changé pour un séjour de 15 jours. C'est parfait avec des enfants (qui ont beaucoup apprécié les hamacs !) Le cadre est superbe : la maison en pierres, la vue sur la campagne toscane, la grande piscine et le soin apporté à la végétation. La situation est parfaite pour visiter la région : Florence, Pise, San Gimigniano... Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour !

L'appartement est trés propre et bien équipé, assez spacieux pour une famille de 5 personnes. L'environnement est trés reposant, la piscine trés agréable, le jardin calme. L'accueil est chaleureux. Les informations nécessaires sont à disposition pour découvrir la région et Matthias n'hésite pas à se renseigner pour nous, réserver un resto... Nous recommandons cette location sans hésiter. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir. Nous avons passés d'excellentes vacances.

Vacances en pleine campagne toscane

L'appartement est confortable avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne toscane. La literie est très bonne qualité. Un bout du jardin nous est réservé avec tonnelle, barbecue et salon de jardin. Cela permet de prendre nos repas dehors, même s'il faut faire quelques pas pour y accéder. La piscine à partager est très agréable (attention aux guêpes) avec une vue magnifique sur la Toscane. Le propriétaire Matthias est chaleureux et prend du temps à notre arrivée pour tout expliquer. Le seul petit bémol est que la location est un peu éloignée (40 min de Sienne). Le séjour a été très agréable.

Sérénité au coeur de la Toscane

Séjour parfait dans un cadre idyllique: calme, beauté des paysages, nature à portée de main, la vue de la cuisine sur la campagne toscane est superbe. La décoration du logement est très raffinée, le logement est bien équipé et confortable. Joli petit coin de jardin pour manger mais un peu éloigné de l'appartement néanmoins et nous avons été un peu harcelés par les guêpes et les mouches. La piscine est magnifique, d'une dimension très agréable. Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour.

Ces deux semaines à Cielsereno ont été idylliques. Appartement très confortable, bien équipé, joliment décoré, avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne environnante. Très belle et grande piscine, dont il est bien agréable de profiter après des journées de visite bien remplies. Un endroit merveilleux !

Site enchanteur, appartement très beau, très propre et très confortable On ne manque de rien ! La cuisine est si bien équipée que nous n'avions pas le goût d'aller au restau. Notre hôte Matthias est très accueillant et nous avait préparé un guide des principales choses à savoir de la région ainsi que comment s'y rendre. La piscine est superbe. Ferienwohnung Radicondoli

Es ist eine sehr schöne, große und voll ausgestattete Wohnung. Alles war sehr sauber. Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden nach der ersten Woche gewechselt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und man hat einen wundervollen Ausblick auf die Umgebung. Man kann sehr viel unternehmen oder sich einfach am Pool erholen. Matthias war sehr nett, unkompliziert und sehr bemüht. Wir erhielten jede Menge Insidertipps - vielen Dank.

"C’est tout d’abord une superbe demeure de caractère qui domine une vallée magnifique où l’on peut apercevoir au crépuscule quelques animaux sauvages qui viennent s’aventurer sous vos fenêtres. Ce qui caractérise ce site au beau milieu de cette remarquable campagne toscane, c’est son calme absolu égayé par le chant des oiseaux. On se sent en parfaite harmonie avec la nature et une douce sérénité vous envahit. La location est parfaitement bien équipée et admirablement décorée. Vous serez accueilli chaleureusement par Matthias et Cristina qui seront toujours présents pour vous aider, vous conseiller avec une infinie gentillesse. Radicondoli, typique village toscan, situé à deux pas de cette location possède quelques commerces et restaurants. Lieu idéal pour visiter Florence, Sienne, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pise etc.. Si vous aimez la tranquillité, la nature, n’hésitez pas une seconde, vous ne serez pas déçu. "Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle location, joliement meublée et décorée. La maison est superbe et située au calme mais à proximité de la plupart des sites touristiques. Pour couronner le tout, Matthias et Christina sont absolument charmants et nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux. Ils sont également de bon conseil et très serviables. Bref, seul hic de notre séjour : trop court ! "
