"Great apartment in Lake Placid - very clean and freshly painted. Quiet, comfortable and great location. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. "
"Property was convenient to everything for the weekend. Parking is a bit tricky/pricey, but to be expected given that it is Lake Placid. The stairs leading to the apartment from the sidewalk was the first surprise as the step was not evenly spaced. The apartment was ok. I attempted to contact the property owner via the VRBO messaging client to alert them that the kitchen sink had no hot water coming from the faucet. I never received a response. For the price and location, the property was...
"Perfect spot to enjoy the Adirondacks. Close to Lake Placid but not right there so no crazy traffic. Love the access to the lake to relax with some coffee "

"Or cabin was beautiful! It’s amazing what they did with this space. We were very comfortable and cannot wait to return! We truly enjoyed the outdoor space. I was making coffee on Saturday and three deer visited the site. Such a peaceful place to get away and relax. "

"We loved our stay! It’s so close to Whiteface and Lake Placid, which made it the perfect weekend getaway for relaxing, skiing, and going out to dinner. Hoping to return soon!"

"We had a great stay in Lake Placid. The house was beautiful and perfectly located just a couple blocks off of main street. We enjoyed our stay. The host, John, was available and very helpful. "
"This isn't a luxury room in the sense of being new/updated with a lot of space. The main area is dated, but it has everything you need and an updated bath area and it's a great location if you are in Wilmington for something. We were there for the Whiteface uphill bike race. Meg seemed available to help although we didn't need anything."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Lake Placid Boutique Inn. The hotel was in walking distance of the Main Street attractions and shops and across the street from the public beach. My kids were particularly happy with the afternoon cookies that were out in the lobby. The room was clean and modern. The ac was in the corner so air circulation wasn’t the best but not bad since we had a fan. We would stay here again. "

"It was roughly 15 years ago we stayed at High Peaks Resort with the kids when they were about 5 years old and we brought them back this year for a new perspective. The first time around we stayed at a room in the Main Resort, this time around we stayed at a room in the Waterfront Collection.
Excellent room with obvious wonderful views. We stayed just off the pool area Waterfront Collection rooms so that we had an open view of Mirror Lake morning, noon, and night. Open your door and you are 10 yards from the water. From 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. there will be guests right outside your room relaxing in chairs and using the various water craft (paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, etc.). It reminded us somewhat of a beach so we did not mind the relative lack of privacy just outside the room. We stayed early week in July for three nights. The room itself was very clean with the large bathroom being the highlight, wonderful spacious shower with overhead shower head. Several channels on the TV but no movie channels and satellite picture not that great in the mountainous area.
Fabulous location. High Peaks rests on the edge of Main Street with "walkabiltiy" perhaps he best overlooked feature: walk to Main Street for shopping and restaurants or go in the opposite direction for a nice evening walk along Mirror Lake drive. There is even a short mountain trail (Cobble Hill Trail, 0.8 mi) just off of Mirror Lake Drive that my daughter and I hiked one early morning. Beautiful view at the top. "
"Loved this place. Os tayed last year and pool was open. Thisbyear it wasnt when I went in May. So thats why I chose it again. I mean it could use updating but staff kind and serves its purpose. I asked a late checknout cuz when to hike a high peak and came back late. They were kind to let me late check out."
