"Don't let the approaching drive fool you, the property is very nice, clean and welcoming. Driving South on I-9 from Newark airport toward this hotel is very depressing and I had doubts because everything is so sketchy, but once I got past all that, the hotel is actually in a nice area that's newly developed and the property seems brand new. Easy parking and big clean lobby and the front desk checked me in quickly, easily and in a friendly manner. TV in the room has YouTube streaming built in which is great and usb plugs all around. Can easily walk to a nice sit down restaurant or a chain like Wingstop, Panda Express and Burger King. The fitness center is small but had enough stuff to get a little workout and the whole place felt quiet and safe. IHG is always a good value for me while traveling and this was another good one. "
Comfort Inn & Suites Newark Liberty International Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel itself was wonderful. Great staff, super clean and renovated facilities, and wide brightly lit hallways. Parking was a little obnoxious - while Expedia claims you can park for $20/night, that's not true. That is a member's only price not accessible to visitors so you pay $25/night but you get in-and-out privileges and they're open 24 hrs a night so it's doable. Just make sure you sign up to park with them immediately when you drive in.. if you try to park in temp parking and go check in first, they'll boot your car lol. Luckily it was easily resolved when that happened to me. Only hotel downside is that the surrounding neighbourhood is sketchy and I would refrain at all costs from walking around outside at night... But luckily you have those in-and-out privileges, eh? "
