"Great Hotel right in the Skogafoss front yard. Get up early and you can have the falls to yourself. Excellent breakfast buffet. Clean room. Expensive restaurant (Iceland, middle of nowhere pricing). Tip: check in before going to the falls, and you won't have to pay the parking fee (get validated), since they share the same lot. Staff are nice and hardworking."

Happy hour was a nice touch and a good way to have a glass of wine and a beer and relax in the lobby. Rooms were very clean, although a little warm even in the cold weather! We definitely recommend staying at the Hotel Lóa and we will stay again on our next trip! The rooms are simple, comfortable and beautiful and very clean. "

"A truly beautiful and relaxing stay from start to finish. Check-in was seamless and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful experience. The sauna was absolutely stunning—floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking a softly snow-covered field created such a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. Thoughtful touches like plush slippers and an incredibly comfortable robe made it feel extra luxurious. The room details were equally impressive. The coffee maker had the feel of a high-end café machine, yet was so simple to use—just pop in a pod and enjoy. The bathroom was beautiful, with soft, plush robes and towels that made it hard to leave such a cozy space. Dinner was spectacular. The fresh bread paired with an incredible butter spread was a standout, and the Atlantic char was beautifully presented and absolutely divine. The drink selection was also excellent. Breakfast was just as impressive—an abundant and beautifully presented spread with fresh baked breads, eggs, vegetables, pastries, meats, cheeses, and yogurts. It was the perfect way to start the day. Check-out was just as effortless, and the thoughtful offer of tea or water for the road was a lovely final touch. We would absolutely stay again—and next time, we’re looking forward to enjoying the private beach."

"What an amazing place to stay! Easy check in, the views are amazing, especially at the sunset. The toilet/shower/kitchen facilities all super clean. Would definately come back again! "

"What an incredible unique experience. I loved having hte bathroom attached and to have a cozy bed to climb into. Note that there are few space heators to turn on and even a heated bed topper which i didnt see until the morning. It would be great to have a welcome note that talks about all that and if they did I may have missed it. One caviat is that despite it was cool to see the auroras from bed, it was suprisingly bright when you stepped out your door to capture it. It should be common practice to say turn off your patio light at night to create a darker enviroment for photos. "

"Not much variety for breakfast, uncomfortabld pillows and spa facilities are outdoor which probably isnt the best idea for an Iceland winter - one to bare in mind. Okay for a quick nights sleep and move onwards"
