"The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. The kitchen has a small fridge and a stovetop, and the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water (WiFi was also available). The view from the cabin is of a BEAUTIFUL Icelandic landscape, even in the winter; I imagine the greenery in the summer is that much more stunning. The only...

"Had the most amazing stay here. Beautifully appointed cottages with panoramic views surrounding. The cottages are amazing inside, warm, cozy and the most incredible bed. Shower is rainfall, bathroom was well equipt and the communication throughout was amazing! The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and the house was also a convenient distance to a town with shops and restaurants. This was a great home base to see many attractions. "This cabin was the best. The views were amazing, the upstairs was cozy, and there was enough space for my family of three to stretch out and feel comfortable. It's out of the way enough that we felt like we were in our own space, but not too far away from Akureyri. Even though we spent two nights in this cabin almost a year ago, my husband and I still talk about how we wish we could return to Iceland and spend a week in this cabin. "

"Very comfortable and well equipped cabin. Conveniently located for Golden Circle destinations and beyond. Very responsive host. Communication was excellent. We did not use the 3rd bedroom open loft area but it would be fun for children to have their own space with TVs and headphones. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again at this property."

"Cabin well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Had a bit of a time figuring out how to work the cooktop stove ( need to place the pot or pan on the burner first before the heat will come on). Owners very quick to respond to any questions. Overall a nice stay."
