Holiday Homes in Reykjavik

"Beautiful place to stay! The top floor kitchen/dining/living space is relaxing and very comfortable. The kitchen is nicely equipped for those who like to cook. The beds were comfortable. The owners are lovely people who are responsive to questions/concerns. There is a walking road close to the ocean where several shipwrecks can be seen. It is in a very convenient location for the Blue Lagoon and the airport. We also spent a day driving to the basalt columns and the Solheimajokull glacier....

"The host cancelled last minute. I sent a message via VRBO app 14 hours before just to touch base with him. He didn’t respond. When I called him to let him know we would be getting in late, he told me the house is not functional. He was apologetic. But left us high and dry. We searched all the hotels in Reykjavík and all were full due to the pride parade happening. I tried calling him back to help settle this with VRBO and he ghosted me. I’m sure he’s a nice guy. But sleeping at the airport...
