"Excellent staff service and friendly. The grounds were well maintained and luxurious. The executive lounge being open 24 hours a day was also a great amenity for an extra fee. I found blonde hairs on my room floor and was awarded a deep room clean and a $100 credit after I requested it. The Mercedes-Benz airport shuttle was a good service that was complimentary. There are bathrooms throughout the property and there are even parakeets flying around and present on the property. The bed is comfortable and the room was well furnished, as well as the shower, which was large and easy to use."

"When I made my reservation I noted that I would be arriving late so that the shuttle driver would look for me. I had traveled for about 14 hours and was exhausted. I waited about 50 minutes before calling the hotel, all while watching other shuttles come and go 3-4 times. So for the unreliability of the shuttle service Id give this hotel a 1. But the staff was great, the room and hotel were very clean and I was impressed by the breakfast, that’s why I give them 4 stars."

"I wanted to stay somewhere local with charm and this was perfect for both. It’s run by a mom and her sweet staff and daughters. It’s not new or shiny but it’s full of beautiful charm and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Enjoying a traditional homemade breakfast every morning by the pool was the perfect way to start my day. I was a solo traveler and they made me feel at home. Loma Tranquila is only 20 minutes from the airport. Tucked away in the Alajuela mountains. If you want an authentic experience with lovely locals this is your place. Even if it’s one night on your way to somewhere else, give her your business. You will not regret waking up to the most beautiful views I have ever seen outside of my room. I will return and can’t wait to show my daughter the place that was home for so many days for me."

"About an hour from San Jose and STRONGLY recommend at least 1 or 2 nights coming to or from. This is an extraordinary experience. The casitas are over the top, but the 5 waterfalls hike, the Aviary, Frog experience, Big Cats and Butterfly house will blow your mind. It is all rescued animals given the best experience that could be created. I will find a way to visit there EVERY time I go to Costa Rica."
