The Don Valley Hotel and Suites is an older hotel that is in need of some refurbishing. The furniture is nicked and the wallpaper is peeling in spots. However, having said that it is excellent value for money. Room was basic but clean and comfortable and had a bar fridge for storing your drinks. Breakfast buffet was basic but was reasonably priced ($15 for the first person, $10 for the second) compared to the cost of breakfast at other hotels we've stayed at. It is very close (2-3 minute walk) to the train and bus stops to downtown so conveniently located.
Only downside is that, if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant or Tim Hortons, you have to drive to a restaurant for dinner.
