"We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap.

"Had a 1 night mid-week stay here & it was brilliant. From check in to leaving it was all done quickly & smoothly.
The apartment was nice, comfy & spacious. Even though its part of a pub albeit next to not above it was really quiet & didnt hear a thing from the pub itself.
The staff were really friendly & acomadating & so were the locals who frequent the pub.
Would highly recommend staying in here to anyone & i certainly would again when in the area."

"Amazing location, very ‘British stately home’. Room was lovely, a good size space and bathroom. Very hot night and windows only opened about an inch, (view was of a building site but looks like part of hotel improvement), found out in the morning we left there’s a fan in the cupboard which would have been good to know on arrival!! Only criticism would be the TV that would look small in a caravan so looked lost on the opposite wall, no streaming services to log into and the time on the planner was wrong so all the programmes were out of sync! We didn’t come to watch tv so not the end of the world but expect better compared to other hotels in its class. Breakfast was top quality with a good choice."
"Excellent hotel on the edge of Durham with a Bannatyne Health & Fitness club next door & a retail park & bus stop just down the road. Also near the A1M."
"Fantastic hotel, the decor and pictures we're lovely! Breakfast offered was anything you could want, all cooked really well. Staff very friendly and professional."
"I loved the room every thing we needed, if we stayed longer we would of made more of the kitchen. At least if we stayed again we know what to take, it was a mini apartment with a well equipped kitchen .It has good staff and parking on site lovely breakfast."
"lovely place, nice rooms and bathrooms. lovely sea view from high floor room although it is alot of stairs to walk up.
Doors use a code to open which is easy to use.
Top floor room did get quite hot and only had one small roof window to open, a fan would be a helpful addition in summer months"
"Room was well equipped and adequate for our needs. Staff promptly brought more pillows when requested.
Only fault we had with the rooms (3 booked) was that they smelt 'fusty' when we entered. A trivial observation, just felt that they could have been aired more before our arrival."
