"Vineyard Hacienda looks charming from the outside and has a very nice looking pool and spa, but once you enter the place, it is filled with dark hallways leading to various rooms. The furniture is very old, like imagine grandma's furniture and one room was even cordoned off like it was a museum. While the place was generally tidy, it was very dated and had an odd feeling to it. It was quite scary actually. I mean, the second I walked in I felt like there was an odd energy there. There was no way I was going to spend the night there. I booked a room at Jamul Casino which was close by and had brand new rooms for only 20 dollars more than Vineyard charged me. And speaking of charging, they didn't offer me any of my payment back even though I did not stay there. I understand that there is a cancellation policy, but their ad was so misleading that I feel it was dishonest. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Some friends stayed at Sycuan for $100 per night and said it was amazing! I never leave reviews but if this saves at least one poor soul from disappointment then it was worth my time to write it. "

"We had a great family stay at this property! Everything was exactly as expected, clean and comfortable, and worked perfectly for our trip. Communication with the host was excellent quick, friendly, and very helpful throughout. We truly have no complaints and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for families looking for an easy, enjoyable getaway!"

"We were a group of 12, age range from 1yrs to 82yrs The house was able to provide fun and space for all our party. The pool area was great to soak up the San Diego sun and enjoy time together. The outside entertaining space was fantastic to have family meals together. The double grill gave us lots of cooking choices. The house had plenty of bath towels and swimming towels available. The host Alvin was very prompt answering any questions or quests we had. I would definitely recommend the property to any large group wanting to spend quality time together in a beautiful home."

"Our stay was wonderful!! We stocked up on travel size shampoo conditioner and body wash and briught extra towels because we're used to them not being privided - we could have saved the money. Aside from that we had coffee next to the machine and water in the fridge, extra towels atop the washer, and our host had fired up the AC before we arrived to make sure it was a perfect checkin. The views were absolutely astounding, especially at night. Photos could never do it justice. The neighborhood is just beautiful and especially as someone who has never visited California, it was exactly what i wanted in a place to stay. 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, 30 minutes from Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, we even drove 2 hours to see a Dodgers game in LA and drove to Arizona doen next to the Mexican border just to take in the sights. Wonderful, accessible, communicative hosts and a really really great location for a stay in southern California. Can't say enough good things about this place!!!!! PERFECT for two people and if we hadn't flown, our two dogs too!!!!! "

"I didn’t even get to stay here lmao. They canceled my stay the day I was suppose to be checking in. It was my bday and we were flying in. It was just terrible communication from the host. If the space wasn’t available thy should have not had it listed. I lost a lot of money because of this. "

"This has been by far the best VRBO we have stayed in. Jeff is wonderful and has created a little oasis for his guests, including furry guests! We have two French bulldogs and they were in heaven! Everything was very clean and comfortable and we very much enjoyed our little anniversary weekend getaway. Thank you and we will be back!"
