The two outstanding problems with this hotel are (1) access by public transportation is very limited, forcing the guests to hire a taxi to convenient nearby train stations such as Tokorozawa station costing 2,400-2,600 yen each way, and (2) the breakfast purchased optionally is practically the same throughout your stay—three different kinds of sandwiches. The stuff was very helpful and friendly, with one exception: I specifically asked upon my arrival when I should sent my luggage to the airport to get it there in time for my flight. My flight was Friday afternoon, so I asked if Thursday afternoon would be fine. I was emphatically told that I should send it Thursday morning. Wednesday evening I go to arrange my luggage delivery: I am told it is too late and that I should have sent it 48 hours before the departure time (this was 6:30 PM on Wednesday, my departure was 5:35 PM on Friday). It was explained away as miscommunication, because we were speaking Japanese (I teach college level Japanese, so I can at the very least understand dates and time). I would recommend the hotel display clear information on their "takyuubin" service: non-Japanese guests might need to know that Yamato only picks up airport deliveries 48 h prior to desired pick-up time.
