I gave the lowest rating possible even though most categories did not apply because the host cancelled our reservation while we were in mid flight from the US a little over a week ago. We had booked this property well in advance of our trip as we wanted three bedrooms with at least two baths. Arrived in Iceland at 6:20 am to discover that we had no accommodations for the five of us to stay for the 9 days we were in Iceland. We received a lame message from the host saying there was some undisclosed maintenance issue. We walked by the property while sightseeing during the trip and found people staying at that property. We had to move three times during the trip instead of renting one place for the entire trip as was our plan. One of the absolute worst traveling experiences of our lives. Do not recommend this host. Believe he has other properties in Iceland as well so check before booking.
Stayed 8 nights in May 2026
