You are right that parking can be a hassle here in the old centre, even in our little courtyard which is a quite hidden away from the main streets. Usually there is space in our little courtyard but you got unlucky with that I'm afraid and I'm so sorry about that. Thankfully we have our own driveway with parking which our guests can use to unload and load their luggage and if we are not around it's more then welcome for our guests to use it. Hi Carol and thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing our Cozy Studio apartment for your stay in Reykjavik. It was a true pleasure having you with us and meeting you. One note on the fact that we choose not to have Wi-Fi in the house (Cozy Studio is in our private house where we also live) is that I am a computer scientist and have been working quite a lot with wireless microwave radiation like Wi-Fi and also me and my wife have been following closely the discussion and more importantly the research on the affects of wireless microwave radiation to humans which since 2011 has been categorised as possibly carcinogen (2B) by IARC/WHO. The latest animal research on rats and mice, conducted by NTP in USA and Ramazzini in Italy both show relation to brain cancer. Therefore we choose not to have Wi-Fi in the house and offer a fiber optic (fastest possible) wired Internet connection instead. Fortunately there are a lot of café's in the area where our guests can connect to Wi-Fi if needed and we appreciate it very much if people DO NOT PUT UP A Wi-Fi hotspot in the apartment because it will affect the whole house since wireless microwave radiation goes through walls and floors. I'm raised in the centre, in another location nearer to the National Theatre but after moving here and actually moving the house with two cranes and trailers in 2005, I could not agree more, this is the best location you can get in the centre. It's so close to everything but still our courtyard is like a small village on it's own but only 2 min. away from everything. We were so fortunate to turn our basement into a holiday apartment at the time because otherwise we would not have survived the financial crisis that shook our and others world in 2009. I'm sorry to hear that you got confused with the parking in the courtyard. This is actually the first time in 9 years we experience this issue but if our guests are unsure they are welcome to park in our private driveway to avoid situations like the one you had. I agree with you that this is not ours or your fault in any way but we are happy to rewrite our apartment information which is available in the apartment to include a diagram to show the angled parking on the right side.
