Cozy Studio is a spacious fully furnished self catering basement studio apartment right in the center of Reykjavik but in a quiet and cozy courtyard. It takes you only 2 minutes to walk to the center square Ingolfstorg and the old harbour site. It accommodates up to 2 people in one double bed. Cozy Studio is in a private house along with the main apartment and was built in 2009. It is located downtown in Reykjavik old centre.

Location: It is perfectly located in a very quiet courtyard with no street traffic and in only 2 min. walking distance from Reykjavik center square and old harbour where you'll find the cities best restaurants, cafes, galleries, bars, shops and museums. In the neighborhood you'll also find a variety of Icelandic seafood restaurants, low price grocery stores and the old charming harbour area with shops, whale watching, puffin tours etc.

- Free Internet: Cozy has free high speed Internet (FIBER OPTIC / LAN cable provided - NO Wi-Fi), flatscreen TV with a selection of International channels and Internet TV options.
- Bathroom: has a tiled shower and a washing machine.
- Kitchen: a kitchenette with a two ring ceramic cooking unit, toaster, water boiler, press can coffee maker, pots, pans and basic utensils.
- Sleeping area: has a 160x200 cm. double bed with a designer head board with dimmer lights.

- Size: Cozy is very spacious or approx. 40 sqm. big (430 sqf.) in total.
- Lighting: Cozy Studio is very bright since it has 4 windows in the main area, 3 main ceiling lights (60W bulbs in each), 5 wall lights (40W bulbs in each) and the designer head board above the bed with dimmer lights on both sides or 10 lights in total in the main area with 3 main switches. It also has a reading lamp on the nightstand and a cozy floor lamp for more ambience.
- Style: the apartment was designed in a Scandinavian fusion style with focus on showing the raw materials but with warm natural colours and simple and appealing decor.

A cozy basement unit that’s perfectly located in westside of Reykjavik. Seconds to harbor and main shopping district. Great communication with host with shared parking. Lack of WiFi is fine; host supplies ethernet cord to connect a device to very fast internet.

This nice little apartment was just what we needed. The main bed was the best bed of our three weeks of traveling! There were informative books about the counrty and area around us. We were able to catch up on our laundry as well with the efficiencyset up. The internet cable hook up was not very practical for our group, but we managed just fine. I would book the place again, if in Reykjavik. Thanks heaps!

It was a nice apartment with plenty of room. It was in an excellent location just one block from the waterfront, a transportation hub, and activities. The checking procedure was non existent. It was in a small alley and no one knew where it was. I eventually found it but with no procedures to open the door. With pure luck a woman was in a yard and gave me the code to the lockbox. Otherwise I never saw anyone. Overall a nice studio but procedure needs dramatic improvement.

Wonderful Stay!
My husband and I loved staying her and would definitely return again! The space is very thoughtfully curated and everything we needed was easily accessible and available for use. It's the perfect size to really spread out in and feel at home while exploring the city. The bed and sofa are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly organized, and this may have been the only place we stayed in Iceland that didn't have hot water which smelled like sulfur, which was a pleasant perk and spoiled us as this was the first place we stayed on our trip. Sveinn and Stella were extremely accommodating and fun to chat with and left us with an outstanding first impression on our journey. Thank you!

Conveniently located home in the heart of Reykjavik
Highly recommend this cozy apartment with private entrance located in a quiet old courtyard steps from the old harbour (and many excellent restaurants including a great bakery DEIG that sold delicious fresh bread) and also a short walk from the touristy downtown area. We enjoyed evening walks along the waterfront after exploring The Golden Circle and other remote sites during the day. Sveinn and Stella were kind enough to share their driveway with us so that we could park at night and the apartment had everything we needed including a washing machine and a spacious private hallway to hang up our clothes to dry. It's a basement apartment (with windows) but that is perfect for Reyjkjavik in summer where it made it easier for us to sleep. We occasionally heard loud footfall from above in the mornings and evenings as would be expected in a multi-family home but it was mostly very quiet. Things that you should know: Be aware there is no microwave or oven in the kitchen so if you are planning to self-cater don't buy anything requiring an oven. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked and we managed just fine for cooking light meals. There is no WiFi and we couldn't get the plug-in internet to work with our iPad even though attachments were provided- not a major problem for us (we had unlimited data through our phones which worked great in the house so we didn't ask the hosts to troubleshoot and help us figure out how to fix it) but could potentially be if you needed WiFi and had to pay for data use. If you are driving, you will need to look carefully at the instructions sent by the hosts instead of just plugging the address into Google Maps in order to find the location (Google maps will take you on a pedestrian only path).

Great location
Had a great stay in this studio, space is really well set up and location is excellent. Plenty of dining within very easy walking distance, really loved the Deig bakery right around the corner for breakfast. Parking for our rental car worked fine, they gave great directions to get there. Would have loved WiFi but the wired internet worked great for my laptop.
