You enter the cottage into a spacious porch, which opens into a generous hallway at the heart of the home. From here, the living room is to the left, while to the right is the farmhouse-style kitchen, which flows through into the dining room—perfect for relaxed meals and social time together. The staircase rises from the hallway to the first floor, where you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms—a king, a double, and a single—along with the family bathroom.

Getting there
• From A1: turn off at Scotch Corner to Richmond • In Richmond take the A6108 and then B6270 to Low Row • Travelling through the village and towards Gunnerside • Continue on the same road to Low Row • Travel through Low Row village until you see a brown tourist information sign for Hazel Brow Farm (not to be confused with the White Hazel Brow Cottage sign). • The Hazel Brow Farm sign will direct you off the B6270 to the left. This turning is very sharp so you may wish to drive past this turning for a short distance to. a layby where you are able to turn around do you can drive straight down the lane. • As soon as you are on the lane you shall see Swale View on your left. • There is parking for up to 2 cars on the private road leading to Swale View.
Accessibility
Access to the cottage includes one small step at the entrance. Inside, there is a standard staircase with a sturdy handrail leading to the first floor.
The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, so guests will need to step in and out of the bath to use the shower. There is also a small step between the kitchen and dining room. Please note the property is not wheelchair accessible.

The holiday was made even better by the fact that the cottage is truly dog friendly !

We had a great week in Swale View and it’s probably one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. Really quiet, excellently equipped with everything you need and in a brilliant location. Really good value for money and we highly recommend.
Swale View is a very comfortable home from home in the heart of glorious Swaledale. It has everything needed for a happy stay overlooking this most beautiful of Dales.
Beautiful old cottage in a stunning rural landscape
This is a real gem of a cottage situated on a small stretch of green lane with car parking nearby and everything is provided for your comfort. The owner lives opposite and he is very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble!
There is a tiny enclosed piece of garden and patio where it is safe to let the dog out and plenty of walks from the door including along the River Swale. There is a really good pub within five minutes walking distance in the village and it is just a short car journey to Reeth and Muker and Gunnerside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and plan to return later in the year!
Swale View is a well maintained property, with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Its location at the heart of Swaledale is perfect for exploring. We've stayed in some great places, but this one comes top of the list!
