"This house has an excellent location in Montsoreau and has very nice views of the Loire river from the upper floors. It's perfect for exploring the area West of Tours around Saumur and is easily accessible to Angers as well as chateaus such as Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau. We didn't have our bicycles and wish we had but the local walking through vineyards is still phenomenal. The bottom floor doesn't have any view but has an excellent and very usable kitchen that is well kitted out as well as...

"The mill is very nice and special, unfortunately the weather was not so good and therefore we had cold in the house. Only one of five electric heater worked in the sleeping room. In the leaving-room you can only heat by makeing a fire in the fireplace and it takes nearly two hours until is getting slightly warmer in this big room. Unfortunately we could not use the extraordinary terrace because of weather terms. I guess summer times it would be a great place to stay. I booked this big hours...

"Small but perfectly formed. Only lack of its own outside space, access to a terrace so we could eat outside, was our only frustration. Marc on behalf of his mum was excellent. Because of its aspect the house was very hot in the over 30C weather. We appreciated the ready access to buses and of course the Riverside"

"We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"My family and I enjoyed this house and it was great to be able to appreciate the old architectural charm of the building. The outdoor space was perfect for us and was a big plus. The house isn’t right in the city center but we were able to walk or ride bikes into town very conveniently. The only real negative was the checkin and checkout process as the place where we had to pick up and drop off the key was not close by especially if you were in a rush or didn’t have a car. "More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."

"The property is located in rural setting, lots of farming around the area. The location suited ourselves as we found it didn't prevent us from exploring nearby attractions. Saumur and Chinon and the Loire river were all within easy reach.
