Cousins and family get together
The property is wonderful for a gathering of mixed generations. Close to the coast but not particularly necessary as the facilities on the property are fantastic. Pool, jacuzzi, game’s room, two tv lounges, bbq, outdoor eating and fire area with log pile. Vast garden with lots of play areas….. what’s not to love….

Family birthday celebration
We had an excellent time here with the family. The facilities were great and the house lends itself to a family holiday. Only slight downside was the traffic noise from the A31. We were well looked after by Timo who sorted any little problems quickly. We would love to return one day.

Great property, ideal for families with children over 7. Great pool, tennis court, games room, film room. Our four grandchildren made use of all of them and loved it. Quite difficult to find even with sat nav, would have been nice to have clear directions.

Lovely break.
This was a great property in a superb location. The fact that there is so much space in the house, grounds and outbuildings meant that every individual in the group was able to relax and enjoy the ample facilities. The only slight disappointment was that the swimming pool was too cold for our toddler but I do understand the difficulty and expense of heating an outdoor pool at this time of year.

An amazing place to stay!
We visited the property as 3 families to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had such a lovely time staying at this beautiful property. It really does have everything you could wish for. There was so much space in both the property and the grounds that we could all come together as a group but could just as easily have some time out if you needed it. Swimming Pool and hot tub were brilliant and lovely and warm and the outdoor eating area is fantastic. We would love to come back and stay again!

Amazing property and great hosts
We stayed in Avon View as a family group with different aged children and adults. We were very lucky with the weather but the property was amazing and was like we were abroad, especially having the swimming pool. The property was well stocked with any utensils you required and had lots for everyone to do. It was also secure so we didn’t have to worry about the dogs escaping. Timo was very welcoming and quickly replied to any question we had. The location of the property also meant that the children could be children without worrying about neighbours. We would definitely recommend this property and the host and will be booking again.

Avon View a break away with friends
This is a lovely property with all the amenities that a group with children could wish for. A swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court and games room. We especially liked the undercover BBQ area. Only minor things in the property need attending to like shower shelves and hooks for towels. The only downside was the fact that if you like walking you need to get in your car and drive to an area to do so. But overall we had a lovely time here.

We loved our family's stay at Avon View. The house was large and had all the amenities needed for a wonderful holiday for a large family, with the highlights for us being the pool, spa and large garden. Susanna the owner communicated promptly and helpfully before our stay and Timo the Property Manager was there when we needed support and was extremely friendly. The house itself was extremely well appointed and we really appreciated the small touches that made life simpler, like the supply of coffee and barbecue fuel. Would highly recommend for a large group.

Fantastic Venue
Fantastic venue for an extended family holiday. The inside communal areas together with brilliant outside facilities made our week a wonderful memorable stay. Everything was of a very high standard , the support of a gardener would make it perfect . Plenty to do together as well as quieter areas . Good location , superb house and facilities on a large , mature private plot.

The grounds property and facilities are splendid and Timo who manages the property was very responsive and immediately supplied our needs. Our only reservations were that the tennis court while playable was in a poor state of repair and there was continual traffic noise from A338/A31. Overall though a very enjoyable stay

Great New Years Retreat
Our party of 6 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoy our stay at Matchams. The property is very well appointed and is in a very good decorative and clean condition. The hosts were all very welcoming and friendly. They welcomed us at check-in with a quick tour and nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate for us. We stayed for three nights from the 30th December to the 2nd January and the property provided our group with all that we needed to have a relaxing and entertaining time over the new year. Particular favourites were the hot tub, the games room, the large flat screen TVs (the kids enjoyed their Cinema afternoon’s) and the conservatory which provided a great space for our New Years eve celebrations! The living areas contained large comfortable sofas, together - the kitchen included high-end Neff appliances and the diner provided ample space and with a large dining table to ensure the group were suitably catered for at meal times. Finally the bedrooms were spotless and cosy and bathrooms clean and modern. I would highly recommend the property and the hosts and would be interested in visiting again.

Perfect for a family reunion
This was a perfect place to hold our annual family weekend away. All the facilities (games room, hot tub, swimming pool and tennis court) on site meant that there was something for everyone of all ages to enjoy and we could all be together in one place. I would definitely recommend.

Everything thought of. Furnishings immaculate Fabulous facilities for all weathers although we were lucky with glorious sunshine. We used private chefs recommended by the hosts for lovely evening meals .

Family time in a great property
A family group of eight of us stayed for a week, including older teens. Susanna was prompt and informative when dealing with our queries from before booking to the time of the holiday. Both Susanna and Steven met us at the property and showed us around. They were very welcoming. The property was lovely and clean and well equipped. In particular the kitchenware was of good quality. It may be that we didn’t locate them but we could have done with a couple of lasagne type dishes to make cooking for 8 a little easier and some melamine type glasses for outside use as we didn’t want to risk any breakages by the pool. The property had lots of room both inside and out and plenty of activities to keep us all busy. We didn’t feel we needed to venture out anywhere. We especially enjoyed the outside terrace in the evening for bbq’s and fires and a late night dip in the hot tub with the lighting on. There were 3 bathrooms which all seemed fairly new. We felt that the smaller of the 2 upstairs could perhaps have done with a couple of shelves to make storage easier but it wasn’t a major problem. The cinema room created an additional chill out area with comfortable seating. The youngsters enjoyed playing music through the sound bar and some of us older ones thought that a late night horror film was a good idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would be happy to recommend both the property and hosts. We hope to visit again.

Fantastic property with amazing facilities. The tennis court, swimming pool and games room were a real hit with our teenagers - not forgetting the hot tub and T.V room! Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay - yes the road is noisy but you get used to it. We played lots of tennis, enjoyed the pool and hot tub and had great fun evenings in the BBQ area . The beaches are a short drive away and we had a lovely lunch at Avon Beach in the Noisy Lobster

Beautiful well equipped house and outdoor space in superb location!
We have never used Vrbo before but came across Avon View and it had everything we were looking for. It is within a perfect distance from the beach/shops yet in stunning private surroundings. We used the lovely heated pool every day and enjoyed using the outdoor space for bbqs and games. The house is incredibly well equipped from toilet paper to toiletries and laundry supplies which is a first for us as regular travellers where we usually have to take all of our own. It was a pleasure to meet Susanna on arrival who gave us a great tour of the property and made us feel very much at home. The house was very clean and each bedroom and bathroom were a great size/layout for our family. The games room and outdoor snug area were great areas for our children as well the hot tub! Overall we were thrilled with our stay and will most certainly be staying again in the hopefully near future!

A wonderful getaway! A property that offers so much - we especially enjoyed the tennis court, swimming pool and log fire pavilion. Once you're in this property, there really is no reason to leave as there's so much to do. Great weekend stay
Our stay was excellent, the house is really well kitted out and had lots of sports equipment for us and the kids to use. Susanna was really helpful giving us info ahead of the trip, was flexible on meeting us upon our arrival and gave us a quick and helpful walk through of the house and how the pool/spa etc worked. Soooo much to do !
Our family stayed there the first week after lockdown. (2 teenagers) There is so much space on the property and so much to do. The kids spent a lot of time playing tennis and ping pong, and also used the TV Annexe a few times. We all loved sitting in the BBQ area in front of a roaring fire, and ate out there all the time. Mummy loved curling up in the tranquil warm conservatory with a book. The area is great as well. Easy access to the New Forest, and all its walking, cycling and pubs. Our son could not keep away from the cycling jumps and trails only 5 mins from the house. Lovely family week.

Great Covid escape
a truly wonderful house, very stylish and comfortable with lots of facilities, Steven and Sussana were there to greet us and easily contactable throughout, we were there for a covid escape for my husbands 50th birthday, Sussana recommended a great Italian chef Luigi and his partner Jackie ( Aka Kookie Krumble) to cater for us, the food was truly amazing they cooked at the house waited on us and cleaned up after, the food was all freshly prepared and so delicious, would highly recommend. We had the best weekend, wish we could have stayed longer

This property is absolutely stunning and we loved staying here and making use of the beautiful place. There are views across to the Isle of Wight which are phenomenal and during our stay we were able to recreate the cinema room into a studio to make music!

Terrific property - lots of space - very well appointed and finished. Great kitchen, Four good bedrooms. Plot is huge and private - tennis court is very nice and our daughters loved the hot tub. Nice outside barbecue area that we used to meet some friends. Great indoor games room when it rained.
