Everything was clean and comfortable, and there were loads of places to visit within an hours drive. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need.

Beautifully maintained and perfectly located for exploring the Dales

We had a lovely few nights at Cherry Cottage—ideal for our family of four. The kids loved their room, and we really appreciated how peaceful it was. The terrace was a lovely spot for morning coffee with views of the hills. The whole place is beautifully maintained and perfectly located for exploring the Dales.

Comfortable cottage, well equipped and quiet location

Comfortable cottage, well equipped and quiet location. Was ideal for visiting relatives in the area. The bathroom, with it's walk in shower, was fine for my elderly mother to use and she found the rest of the cottage accessible too. Cake cupboard over the road provides eggs, cakes and jams with an honesty box.

Can't rate Cherry Cottage highly enough

Can’t rate Cherry Cottage highly enough! It’s been done up to a really high standard and felt so cosy and warm, even on chilly evenings. We used the camp bed for a friend who joined us for a night and it worked perfectly. The village is super cute—very ‘postcard’—and there’s a brilliant pub a short stroll away.

Spotless, really cosy - peaceful countryside break

Cherry Cottage was the perfect base for our walking weekend in the Dales. The house was spotless and felt really cosy from the moment we walked in. The furnishings are high quality—clearly a lot of thought has gone into the decor. We especially loved sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine after a long day exploring. Would absolutely recommend for a peaceful countryside break!

Lovely stay

Clean, modern and very well maintained. Loved 'The Cake Cupboard' opposite! Comfortable beds - especially in the main bedroom which has a huge bed. Well located for Ripon and many surrounding walks and sites. Storage space for our kitchen products, eg food, was very limited, so most of what we brought with us remained on the worktops. Not a major issue but worth noting.

We'll definitely be coming back for a longer stay

Booked Cherry Cottage for a spontaneous getaway and it was everything we hoped for and more. Really clean, great quality linen and towels, and we slept so well. It was lovely to be surrounded by nature and hear birdsong in the mornings. We’ll definitely be coming back for a longer stay!

Such a gorgeous little cottage!

Such a gorgeous little cottage! It’s tucked away in a quiet village but still close to great walks and pubs. Everything was super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook proper meals. The extra bed worked well for our daughter too. Felt like a proper home-from-home—warm, welcoming and very comfortable
