"Our first overnight stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express hotel, but probably will not be our last. The whole interior of the hotel including the reception area, bar and restaurant area, communal areas and especially the rooms have all been refurbished, and apparently fairly recently, to a very good standard. There is plenty of parking available at a cost of £4 per 24 hours. From the reception desk staff to the bar and reception staff, they are all extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, well appointed including an iron and ironing board. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was very quiet and extremely clean. The only disappointment was the wafer thin toilet rolls. The bar and restaurant area is also very spacious and comfortable. We ordered a pizza which was delicious and hot. The same area is used to serve breakfast which was plentiful, hot and a good choice of hot and cold dishes. "

"The whole stay was lovely. The room was great. Clean and very comfortable bed!! Staff were helpful. Love the free mini bar ! Such a nice touch Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked . "Great affordable hotel"

"My wife and I stayed for 6 nights and could not have been more pleased. The rooms have been recently updated and the bathroom worked well and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast and dinners we ate were wonderful. Well prepared and ample portions. The entire place was very clean. The best part of the experience at the Conningbrook was the employees. All were very jovial and helpful and couldn't do enough to make your stay memorable. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are staying in Ashford."
