"The Kitchen was equipped with coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, spices, and olive oil to cook. He supplied dog bags and treats. The chickens roam free, and you have to watch where you step; you'll step in chicken poop. The river was nice across the street, and I saw the rowing team. It does have a nice view. The host was friendly and approachable, which helped potential guests feel more at ease about their stay, but it also lacked the extra essentials we needed. We purchased lightbulbs and paper towels. The stove and some of the dishes (in the dishwasher) were still dirty. The stove and countertops were not cleaned, and there were bugs/dust on the back countertops.If a broom and a dustpan were available, we would have used them. We also believe we saw a little animal scurry across the floor on 2 occasions.I feel it could have been a better experience than what the rating stated."

"Loved the property! I was in town for training and this was the perfect retreat to come Back to at the end of a long training day. Place was exactly as described, clean, well decorated and furnished!!"

"We were welcomed by very warm and kind folks at the inn. We appreciated the cleanliness of the room and property as a whole. Breakfast was great! Fruits and danishes were left out for guests."

"We had an amazing time at the Duckblind!! The views are stunning no matter which direction you look. The house is clean, well appointed, and has plenty of space to relax. If you're looking for privacy this is it, as you are literally surrounded by the lake on all sides. Ian was a fantastic host, even was over accommodating with early check in and another special request. We use VRBO a lot and typically don't revisit places, this is one I would definitely go back to!!"

"We had a wonderful getaway to beautiful Colchester. The lake was frozen solid and our dogs loved running in the open snow. The views from the house were stunning. Our host was very responsive to our communication and checked to see how we were doing. We would definitely like to return an experience the lake in the warmer months. "

"had a problem getting key code to work but the host answered right away to get us in. Would have liked the place cleaner especially the bathroom and kitchen. I think the kitchen could have used a few more items for cooking since we were there for a family tgiving dinner. cleaning supplies were few and no paper towels to clean with. I think we were the first to stay there as all the utensils for the kitchen were brand new which was nice. Had a nice time, although we did not realize that the TV was not hooked up. Thanks to my son, we were able to navigate the tv to set up our own Netflix to watch movies. WiFi was good with smart speaker so I could link in to play music. Off season did not alow us to use the grounds which would have been nice, but looked like no one had cleared the leaves from late fall on the property and front door deck. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Mansfield Manor! The house is very clean and comfy. The view of the mountain from the back deck is amazing. Check in and check out was easy. The neighborhood is VERY quiet! We will definitely be back! If you’re looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend!"
