"We had a great stay at The Celestine in Gion. The hotel is beutifully appointed, and the room was very comfortable. It's in a perct location with so many shops and restaurants just a few minutes walk. We had the hotel's breakfast 2 days and it was also very lovely. I defintely recommend it, especially because they start serving at 6:30 am, and finding a cafe/coffee shop open that early is nearly impossible! My only critique is that the public baths are WAY TOO HOT! It may be to discourage people from spending too much time in there, but it was so searing hot that I was not able to use it at all. This was disappointing, but didn't detract significantly from my overall positive experince."

"The hotel was very clean, very close to the station and skytree, and had all the amenities we needed (even an air frier, rice cooker, and washer and drier) only issue we had was that there was no elevators so lugging 11 luggages up and down the narrow stairs was difficult."
