"The rooms are spacious but very old. The restaurant was okay for food quality for the price, but not clean. The amenities are good. "

"Nice hotel and lovely staff. We had a nice big room with a partial view of the sea which was nice. Loved the old style 120 year old lift and the character and mellowness of the hotel. Reception were lovely and helpful especially the young boy and blonde girl. Our biggest disappointment was Eastbourne itself, having never been before I thought there would be more going on along the front but it is dead. It's a pity because the promenade in front of the hotels is really nice."
