Rockland Town Hall

Clean stay in a great location

Service. Service. Service. I did not catch his name (my bad), but the doorman was positively golden. Fantastic personality and recommendations. Just seemed to want to make sure that everyone saw the best of his town. Asked where we were going the day we went to Salem and then let me know there was a ferry we could take back and that it was more direct and closer to the hotel than the train. Then gave us restaurant recs for Salem. Completely went out of his way every time we stepped out the door to make sure we were taken care of. Same for front desk team. Same for restaurant. I would 100% stay here again. Location was great but the service knocked it out of the park. For the record, I’m kinda critical when it comes to this stuff. I travel a lot, I used to own a bar/restaurant and also a tour company. I only review when someone blows me away (one way or the other). This place was a solid 10/10. Rooms were not large and construction stayed outside the room promptly at 8 am, but I knew that going in so it was expected.

When I arrived the code to my room didn’t work. It took 45 minutes for me to gain access to my room. Other guests I met in two other rooms had the same problem. The room is clean and small as pictured. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are thin and hard. There is nowhere to sit other than on the bed or the windowsill of the bay window. The shades of the bay windows were not functional, so they could not be pulled down. When I left a message requesting extra towels and a blanket, because there wasn’t one in the room, I came back to the room to find nothing was dropped off. After calling with a second request, they sent someone with a blanket, but i never received towels.
