"The host was definitely hospitable. He came to the property when needed and provided thorough instructions for the house. The house was directly beachfront other than a small sand dune that did not obstruct your view. The decks around the house were amazing as well - two level (one covered, one not). The house was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Our kids got a kick out of the guest house that was atttached by a small deck to the main house. That area is a bunch of fun for kids of all ages. Each bathroom was well equipped (one with a large walk-in shower and the other with a soaker tub). We do feel that a couple areas of the home needed some maintenance. A few of the deckboards needed secured better. Noticeable but not a horrible trip hazard. The grounds needed some upkeep."

"The property was wonderful. I didn't realize the Jack and Jill bath was shared by the king and a queen room, but kind of made sense since it was oceanside. Absolutely loved the location so easy in and out. Even though it is a pet friendly property, there was no pet smell at all! I reported a stain on one of the bedspreads and shortly thereafter another was delivered which speaks well of Village Realty. I only wish the refrigerator was a bit larger."

"The house was very clean and in very good condition. Access to the beach was close and easy to access. There were very few people on the beach, which was a nice aspect.Concerning towels, one bath towel and only one wash cloth was provided for each person. The quantity of wash cloths was insufficient so we bought some to last the week. Also, the bed pillows were small and flat. Two people in our group bought new pillows to use instead of the house suppliedpillows. The owner/host could improve on these items."

"Nice place. Bang for your buck. Stove and toaster doesn't work like it should but still couldn't complain for the price. Great ocean view and the beds were comfortable. It was clean. Easy check in process."

"Our stay was great. The house is very rustic like you step back in time to the days of the Pirates. Short walk to the beach. The house is in need of some TLC such as the decks , outdoor shower, grill. These were all in need of replacement. Other than that the house was huge inside with multiple floors and an old Observatory at the very top. You can see for days up there. The outside area could use some cleaning up and a warning to the visitors that they will be driving thru some loose sand to get to the house. I had to use 4 wheel drive to get to the house but had a friend show up in a front wheel drive car and made it just fine. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't that great 5/9-5/16 the high for the week was 70. You will enjoy this place. Watch the movie Nights in Rodanthe and you will lots of things in the house that are in the movie such as the old organ. The movie is there and a dvd player. If someone asked me if I would go again that's a Yes for sure answer. The cool part of the trip was we had high winds several days and you feel the house sway a bit. Not 100% sure but I think the house was haunted. Some weird things too place. You have to experience on your own to understand."

"This house has everything! A pool, hot tub, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of outside deck space, an outdoor shower, a pool table and video game and pet friendly! And I found Surf or Sound realty to be one of the best property management companies I have dealt with. I hope to stay at this house again soon!"
