We really loved the property, great amenities, near many sites. We liked everything except for too many stairs and on top floor very narrow and steep stairs, hard to take luggage to the room.

This is a 6 room business with cozy settings in an old building right across the Porta Maggiore. I lucked out and had room 5 which I believe is largest. Not much of a view but clean and comfortable and modern washroom with great shower. Service was great and continental breakfast was included. They all spoke good English and were very accommodating.

The room itself was nice. Breakfast was very basic. Pretty convenient for public transport (which is absolutely packed). Wifi only intermittently worked. Main complaint is it was in the mid 80s everyday and the air conditioning was never turned on despite advertising as having air conditioning and requesting it on our first day. We had the windows open to try to help with the heat and it was SO loud! There were people screaming outside the window late into the night (sounded like parties somewhere around the courtyard outside the building) and cars beeping all night making it difficult to get any sleep. Could have closed the windows and the noise wouldn’t have been a problem if air conditioning was available. Would not stay here again.

Convenient Stay
We stayed at Adelina Guesthouse for two nights. The area is very convenient for buses and trams and about a ten minute bus ride to Termini. We had a twin room with two windows on either side of the room so there was plenty of light. The beds were very comfortable. After walking through a passage way you enter the back of the building and through another door into the property. A very small lift takes you up to the second floor which is the reception. Breakfast is delivered to your room at the time you wish and it is a small continental breakfast. Maria organised a transfer for us from the airport to the hotel and the driver was waiting for us at the arrivals hall. Very convenient after a long flight. There is a Bar and a Restaurant a little distance away. Also a small mini mart around the corner.

I'm really sorry you haven't appreciated a free late checkin, a free late checkout and all our efforts to find the way to go to an hairstyler you've choosen in the city center avoiding public transportation in a taxi strike day. Actually we think to have done too much for one night stay!

Superb Stay...
On our last weekend in Rome we checked at the Adelina Suites. Not being used to airbnb we were a bit reluctant. From the time we got our first telephone call from our host Maria on Friday to our checkout early Monday, everything went really well. We will definitely recommend to friends.

It is the second time that we stay at Adelina Guesthouse and it will continue being our home away from home whenever we visit Rome. Maria makes every effort to make us feel at home. Very clean, very private, very comfortable. Great location with public transportation easily accesible. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !!!

Amazing guest house
Had the most amazing break away only made better by our stay at the Adelina Maria and her staff couldn't do enough for us with tips on where to go and booking our taxi for a very early flight the guest house was spotlessly clean and breakfast fresh and served to your door a time to suit cant wait for a return trip soon x

Twin bed wasnt appropriate for a hotel (camp bed). Only one roll of toilet paper for 3 persons. Room small and not pratical for travellers. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and well decorated. We have been charged more than we got on our bill (children age in cause) but we didn't saw that on our bill.

Thank you for your review Jimmy. I just need to point out few details about it. We don't have any camp bed in the whole guesthouse. The room you've booked is a triple room with a king size bed (200*180 cm) and a twin bed (80*190cm), as written everywhere. I think one toilet paper roll is enough for three people, for one day. Anyway, you asked for one more just few hours later your check in and I provided to give you a new one. You had problem with the bill because you've booked the room for two people and one year old child. When you arrived I meet your son who is 12 years old. As you can read in our rules children has to pay from 4 years old, so actually you were three adults, that's why I asked you the difference between 2 and 3 people starting from the check in. The room is the biggest one we have and I've seen you had enough space for all your luggages as everyone the room has hosted before you. At the end you've broken an abat jour on the bedside table and you didn't want to pay for it because it was difficult for you (???) and I don't want to write about the conditions you left the room. Fortunately guests like you usually don't choose my guesthouse.

Great stay here. Maria was very helpful, giving us ideas of places to visit/restaurants on arrival. In a nice area not to far from the colosseum-15 minute walk. Also only a 5/10 minute walk to Marzoni metro station, you can also get the tram from outside the building. Lovely breakfast and nice clean, tastefully decorated rooms. Very secure and the rooms with a balcony are especially nice! The drinks in the fridge were a nice touch. Maria was able to answer any questions via messages and also helped book our return taxi. Thanks!

Check-in is on 2nd floor. One needs a key card for the elevator which you dont have till you check in, so you have to walk up with luggage

Actually that's not true. When you arrive in front of the door you should ring the bell (as you do when you go in someone else's house) and we come downstairs to give you the key. Or you can put the luggage into the elevator, walk upstairs (without them) and call the elevator from the second floor. So really you don't need to walk up with luggage. Thank you

Excellent guesthouse
Adelina guesthouse was a perfect stop on our trip through Italy. It was a little far from main attractions but me and my partner enjoy walking and exploring. It was nice to come home to a quiet room at night a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main sites, and close to where locals will go with neighbourhoods such as San Lorenzo with cool bars and restaurants. It was about a 20 minute walk from the Colloseum and train station. Maria greeted us upon arrival with a smile and served us an americano while we waited for our room. The room was absolutely gorgeous with beautiful decor and a large washroom. We then were served breakfast in the morning at the time we wanted which was included in the price. A nice option for a guesthouse. We were extremely impressed and would recommend to anyone.

It was exactly as pictured. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Maria was a good host and gave us some sight seeing tips. Unfortunately no one was there upon our arrival and we had to wait in the rain for half an hour until Maria arrived to check us in.

Unfortunetely I'm not sure about who you are because I cannot read your name and I don't remember someone waiting for me half an hour in the rain because even if I'm not here or if I'm in late I'm able to let you in by my phone! Anyway I'm sorry for the inconvenient, this is a small family business and we really try to do our best every day. We don't have a 24 hours reception and just to avoid to waste your time we try to agree the check in time in the best possible way, but of course sometimes we can make mistakes. Comfortable and friendly guesthouse
The guesthouse lives up to expectations in terms of comfort, friendliness and helpfulness. It was perfect for us as a middle age couple who didn't want any more than an evening meal after hours of walking around all day. My only caution would be if you are younger and want to be in the thick of it then you might find it a bit far from the centre. Having said that there are trams right across the road and you're about 7 minutes from the metro so if you want to head back to busier parts then it's no problem. Finally, don't be put off by the surroundings. It's on a busy road close to a big railway bridge but you don't notice any of this or hear it once you're inside and the transport comes in handy. Would recommend to anyone who wants a lovely place to stay but isn't looking for lots of nightlife on the doorstep.

Thank you very much! Our district is a central district but (fortunately, in my opinion!) not inside the historycal center which is more noisy and crowded. Here you can enjoy the real roman life 10 minutes out from the crowded major sites. That's why Porta Maggiore was the main gate of the ancient city! Maria is absolutely amazing! Talk about hospitality! She made sure we were well taken care of before (answering any questions we had and reserving a private driver for airport pickup) and throughout our stay. The room was always in pristine condition and the shower...amazing! I will also add the morning we were leaving super early for a tour, Maria offered for us to take some fresh crossaints as we were going to miss our usual breakfast time. Our stay here was just fabulous! Highly recommend!

Clean, completely updated, close to sites
Maria was very accommodating to our late arrival and drove to let us in. The entrance is more like you would be entering an apartment. The room was super cute. Everything in this guesthouse is completely new and modern. It has been totally redone. This is not a facility with a staff. You are on your own which is great if you are that kind of traveler. Maria is super helpful if you have questions. Check in and check our we’re super simple. It is located by the old Roman wall inside the original city. We were close enough to walk to quite a few major sites and then some less major but still great sites located nearby. The bed was comfy. The window did an amazing job of blocking the noise from outside. The first night the people who must live above our room were having a gathering and they were scooting a wood chair every few minutes across the floor and that was quite annoying. Also we could hear them talking but that only happened the first night and they did eventually go to bed. We ate at some truly delightful restaurants within a few blocks. We really enjoyed our time there. There is a breakfast of coffee, juice and delicious croissants that they bring to you at the requested time. We would definitely recommend staying if you like this kind of experience.

Excellent Stay
We stayed 3 nights in Rome at Adelina House and had a fantastic trip. The accommodations were very clean and secure, with short walks to transit and local restaurants / sites. Maria was very friendly and provided great service. Our bags were lost by the airline and Maria helped ensure they were delivered to our accommodations, while we were out exploring. Would recommend this location for young travelers looking to be in the hustle and bustle of Rome.

Beautiful interior. Love the bathroom. Next to the original city gate / entrance. Walking distance to the main train station; 15 minutes, however use the Main Street when walking in the dark. Thin walls, you may hear loud guests next door. The host was very welcoming. We did have to wait a few minutes in front of the building in order for her to arrive to let us in, so plan accordingly.

We had an incredible stay at this guesthouse near the end of our Italy tour for our honeymoon. We were able to meet Stefano and he was very nice and extremely helpful at suggesting places to visit in the area. The bathtub was huge and the bed was extremely comfortable. At all of the other hotels the beds were so firm I had lower back pain so it was a sweet relief! We also got to indulge in a delicious breakfast including the best croissants I have ever had. We will definitely make sure to stop here again with our kids next time.
