A great hotel especially for the price. It was really nice to have an upstairs area where 2 of us stayed, and then my daughter stayed in sofa bed downstairs and had a bit of space. The hotel was in an upscale neighbourhood and walkable to every major attraction within 20/25 minutes. The hotel room had a mini fridge where they gave us water bottles which they replenished daily. The shower was really nice too- beautifully tiled and good water pressure.

Finding the actual check-in was more complicated than I expected. You first have to buzz in through a grand door way then buzz through a gate then travel up three flights of stairs. No signs pointing to the main office and I actually traversed three other stairways to find it. The room was fun for the kids with a bed upstairs in an open loft area. The check in was easy and very friendly. The shower had a good amount of mold around the corners and on the ceiling, which is the main reason I'm not giving more stars. The inside door to the bathroom was quite dirty as well.

Beautiful place, very cozy and Rome style. My kids love that the beds were at the top part of the room. Small but beautiful and close to everything. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi steps and visit other places. We are in love with ROME and very thankful with Alessandro, the owner. He helped us with early checkin, buying train tickets to Florence and giving us a lot of information where to go and what to do. This place is a gem!

Alessandro was the perfect host! He gave us ample restaurant/food recommendations, and provided us with a wonderful list of recommendations of things to do in Rome. He was incredibly hospitable, and made our stay even better, and was so helpful in helping out with transport to/from the hotel, and would have happily helped us with more if we needed it. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, the room was spacious and clean, and everything was in working order and of extremely high quality. Would definitely stay again!

pros: Alessandro is accommodating and friendly. He gave us tips about our trip , where to go, allowed us to leave our luggage in the office . He arranged transportation. Place was cleaned daily and the espresso is a nice touch with refills too. Cons: small bathroom slightly outdated and in the loft area upstairs. Weird old smell in the elevator but expected of an older building. Tip : in the area, just a few meters away one of the oldest restaurants la campana and restaurant where Alfredo pasta originated is just beside it. This is the best part!

A great guest house with a very helpful and thoughtful owner . Super neat and clean rooms, fancy bathroom, powerful air conditioner, quiet courtyard. Walking distance to everywhere, we will definitely recommend Assunta Domus to our friends especially who needs family rooms.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the owner Alessandro. Location is super and we walked to all the major sites and attractions. Great restaurants everywhere. Real close to the Pantheon. We had everything we needed. Fantastic balcony overlooking courtyard. Great little coffee maker! We will stay here again..

Excellent short break
Assunta Domus was perfect in every way for our weekend in Rome. Alessandro was very helpful and although we made our own arrangements on our arrival in Rome we asked him to arrange our return transport which was a lot less stressful. We walked to all the attractions during the day and in the evening excellent bars and restaurants were on our doorstep. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Assunta Domas to friends visiting a Rome. Thank you

Friendly and charming hotel in great location
A very nice little hotel, perfectly located in a charming area and within walking distance of most things in Rome. Even though it is in the middle of the city, it was very quiet and we did not hear any traffic or people at night. The room was clean and comfortable and the service on arrival and throughout our stay was very nice and friendly. We also got help ordering a taxi back to the airport when we left. I can really recommend this hotel!

Alassandro was so nice and helpful. He arranged taxi to the hotel from the airport. We had a late check in, but he didn’t mind. The room was very clean, not huge, but enough space to sleep five comfortably . Hot water was not an issue! I think they have tankless hot water. For five people, that is an issue. The hotel is very safe and close to everything. Thank you Alassandro!

Assunta Domus is a great little property in the heart of the Navona section of Rome. It is a few minutes walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and 15-20 minutes walk from Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Colosseum and all the major sites. This is not a traditional hotel, hence the lower score for Amenitites, but Rome really isn’t a place to sit around the hotel. Alessandro the owner is there 12 hours each day and available by phone/email if needed any other time. He is very friendly and has some great recommendations (with some local discounts) for restaurants and cafes in the area. We had 2 minor hiccups outside of his control, one being a taxi not showing up to bring us to Termini Station for an excursion (thankfully found a stand quick enough), and one issue with the AC unit not working (due to a connected unit turning their’s in to heat). Overall, I would highly recommend Assunta Domus if you are going to Rome and looking for a reasonable place to stay in the middle of everything!

Very comfortable, very secure, very central to everything and for where it is situated very affordable. We loved our stay. Alessandro is a gem. He was so helpful, professional and welcoming. We stayed with 2 adults 2 kids but it will suit anyone. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem of Rome. This hotel was perfect for us. It was in walking distance to everything (Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Forum, Colosseum), it was extremely safe, it was sparkling clean all the time, bathrooms were extremely clean, and it was a very smart use of space. In our room, we had plenty of space for our family of four. Each child had their own single bed, and my husband and I shared a king bed. My kids enjoyed watching TV in the loft area, and it felt like a much bigger space than it probably was. The air conditioning was controlled by us, and it was highly refreshing from the hot summer days. The building was very quiet and set away from the main streets. The shampoos and soaps smelled so nice. My son is allergic to everything, and this hotel was allergy safe for him. Because the hotel is in the historical center, you have to park your car a bit farther away. I was worried about this. But parking in Piazza Cavour was very easy. It's not too far, and it's underground, very safe and very clean. What made this hotel extra special was Alessandro, the main contact at the hotel. He speaks English very well, and he made us feel 100% comfortable. He will help you with anything you need, including booking different things to do, helping you decide on restaurants, parking, wifi, etc. He is wonderfully kind. There are snacks, coffee, and water provided in your room for free, but there is no breakfast provided. However, there are plenty of cafes nearby.

Perfect Location
Our family of 5 loved our trip to Rome , the apartment was great and in a fantastic location near Piazza Navorna , no more than 20/30 minutes walk from all the main tourist attractions. Lot's of places to eat and drink which are a bit expensive but we were expecting that so not a problem. It's a beautiful city to walk around , little cobbled streets , statues & fountains everywhere.

At home in the heart of Rome
I chose this place primarily because of its excellent location, but found much more: the rooms are immaculate and well furnished, and Alessandro was cheerful and always ready to help. Our group of five found Assunta Domus to be a great home base for our explorations of Rome.

Great location and host!
Assunta Domus is a lovely boutique B&B very close to many sites such as the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Our room was very clean and comfortable; it had all amenities we needed. Alessandro was very helpful and attentive in giving us knowledge of the sites as well as restaurants in the surrounding area (which are amazing). He was also reachable by email at any time which is awesome considering the front desk hours are limited. My only gripe is that the hotel is not near any metro stations however it's not too far of a walk especially with all the sites and piazzas nearby, we didn't mind it much. I would definitely stay here again! The location is amazing!

Right in the heart of Roma
This property is just steps from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Vatican City and many other landmarks. The area is well travelled and felt extremely safe. It's also very close to dozens of restaurants and all the shopping you could possibly desire. Our room was quaint and spotless. The bed was the most comfortable my wife and I had experienced in a long time. The owner, Alessandro is extremely friendly and helpful. He had no problem communicating with us in English. He was very accommodating and helped us with booking train tickets. I wouldn't hesitate booking here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to because of the experience. Alessandro made everything enjoyable and was there to help at any time. Our AC unit had some issues but he was very apologetic, got it to work temporarily and had a service person out the very next morning. Very secure facilities and within walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. Only taxis we took were airport to hotel and hotel to train station. Room cleaning was great and room had everything we needed with some extras for free. Can't recommend this hotel enough, for the price I don't think you can find anything better in Rome.

Since we got to the hotel, we felt cheated by Alexandro and felt that he wanted to take advantage of us because we were tourists. I felt deceived, stolen and outraged.The guy was very rude and the service was extremely bad. We went to multiple hotels in our trip and the only place we felt like that was in this Hotel.

You entered a wrong phone number on the booking and both me and Hotels.com were unable to contact you; You arrived in my guesthouse at 22.00 and the reception closes at 20.00; You booked a room for 2 people and you have arrived in 4; I found a solution to your mistake by placing you in a room for 4 people (so I had to move the other guests from that room); You had to leave after 3 days at noon and pay me before departure and instead you started at 7.00 am when the reception is obviously closed; You sent me at 7.00 am an email telling me of your departure; At 8.00 am I called you to remind you the payment of the room difference + the municipal tax + late check-in and you attacked me and offended with the words !! All this means for you to be felt cheated or is it better to say that you have cheated me?!! You are a TERRIBLE GUEST!!!!!

This hotel is hidden on a quiet street in the very heart of Rome, close to the Piazza Navona. There was a marvelous little bakery a few doors down. The staff was friendly, quite attentive and helpful. Alessandro, the proprietor, helped us bring our luggage in and welcomed us warmly. He recommended two wonderful restaurants nearby--an authentic Roman restaurant, and a cafe/ restaurant that had a buffalo mozzarella tasting menu. Near the end of our stay, Alessandro even helped us purchase our train tickets to Florence, and he made sure that we paid a reasonable price for them. I'd stay here again.

Great place to stay in Rome
Awesome stay! We loved Rome and the Asunta Domus. Great host - very helpful and accommodating, arranged airport pickup was excellent and a great value. Apartment was clean, comfortable and cute. Perfect location for walking to all attractions or easily catching a taxi. Loved the local bakery too.
