It was a charming apartment. We arrived early in the day and arranged to meet to drop off our luggage and we were able to get our keys then. We thought from the description there was going to be 2 bedrooms, but actually the 2nd bedroom was out in the living room. We shared a room with one of our kids, which was fine, just not what we were expecting. There were 3 king size beds, very firm.
It was a great place for our family to stay. We loved playing cards at the table at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The walk in closet gave the kids some privacy while changing, as there really wasn't any other private places if someone was in the bathroom.
Only has a small washer, no dryer, I missed that in the description. They provide a nice drying rack, though. We were able to wash our clothes each day and let them dry the next. We were not able to change the controls on the machine, however, which was a little frustrating.
The location is great, we walked to most of the ancient Rome sites, even though we had a Roma card and could have easily hopped many of the bus lines.
The door is right on the alley/street, so sometimes the cars zooming by startled us. We were always very cautious leaving for fear of being hit (we are from Chicago, and thought we have crazy drivers, nothing compared to Roman drivers!)
My only complaint was that the bathroom was pretty dirty, we have to pay an up front 40 euro fee upon arrival. The dust on top of the mirror and the mold in the shower and other parts of the bathroom were disturbing to me (and did not help my allergies). I would have cleaned it, but couldn't find any cleaner and didn't want to purchase any.
