When we arrived they were busy with the airconditioning. We arrived earlier than check-in time. They gave us the keys and when we arrived back the room was cleaned and looked nice. The new airconditioning was working very well and we needed it. The breakfast was simple but fine. With the bus you can get to many places. The owner is very attentive. When I gave him some feedback about some things that could be better, he immediately apologized and took care of our transportation to the airport for free, since we were leaving that same day.

Stayed a couple of nights at this property and We loved it! The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The AC was super cold (thankfully because it was HOT) Located in a residential building, its little hard finding the place but it is located in the same building as La Vele restaurant, second floor reception is right in front of the elevator. Would def stay here again!

Living like a local!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Heart of Rome B&B. Tucked in a residential building and accessible to public transportation, we were greeted by a building employee who directed us upstairs to the office. Cristiano was a super host checking us in. He showed us the general layout of the lodging, instructed us on using the elevator, local sites and transportation options. You are lodging amongst locals so you get a really good feel in a short time of how local residents live in Rome. Simple accommodations which were super clean and new. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. They were even very helpful in arranging early morning transportation to the airport. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice place. Near the Vatican and metro areas. Breakfast can improve by a different menu everyday. Air conditioning was not so cold must improve. But capuccinos of Help desk clerk very good in the morning hours.

Terrible! Would not recommend this hotel and its sister hotels to anyone. Seems like one big scam to steal from clients when they have the chance. The hotel offered to keep our bags for us when we were leaving for other cities in Rome. We didn't mind because they were charming and helpful. Perhaps we were a little naive but when we came back they had stolen one whole bag from us. The guy at the reception was helpful and wrote a letter claiming they will pay us back but after we left completely went quiet. We suspect they must have been in on the theft and there's a systematic plot to steal from their clients

Rooms are very basic, but clean. Breakfast is well below average. My Kids doesn’t like it and I have ordered some from outside but when I asked for a Microwave oven to warm it, they said they don’t have one. Limited reception time, so you can only able to contact them during the breakfast or checkout time. Beware of city tax per person per night as an additional charge. Expect they guy called Christiano other guys is so arrogant. They don’t take card payment but they speaks all the government rules and regulations. 2 little glass tea cups with coffee and tea sachets, but there is no milk and not even a spoon to stir it and they don’t top up for the following days. Rooms are so cold in the night. Cold air coming through the rooms and all our noses got blocked. Room walls are not sound proof, you can even hear the toilet flushing sound from the other room. Only one key provided and the main gate will be locked overnight, so if you missed it, you have to wait outside till morning. I am giving 2 stars just for the guy Christiano.

Heart of Rome truly at the heart of Rome
One of the best B&B I've stayed in actually I would say this is a proper hotel than just a B&B. I rated it excellent because I was very satisfied with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel. I would like to say thank you for our wonderful stay to the staff especially Joanna.

Everything worked to perfection and stuff was extremely reserved for all about telling us tips and hints about how to move in-and-out from the hotel and within Rome the breakfast also was very good

Only one comment the room about the mosquitoes and bug bites. But my main concern is customer service. No compromises for inconveniences. Poor arrangement of tours due to misunderstanding primarily maybe language barrier but still staff appears rude for me. I have been a loyal expedia customer but I have not complained like this experience.

I'd stay there again !
Very confortable and clean. The personal is very kind and pleasant. What I didn't enjoy was the neighbourhood, but the bus station is abou 50m from the hotel and you can get by bus anywhere you want. Also, in my opinion they should vary the food from the breakfast and maybe add something cooked. Overall, a great experience.

Great low stress residential neighborhood
The Heart of Rome B&B is a great value for your money. Michele and Cristiano were absolutely fantastic lads on every level. They helped us figure out what we needed to do to get around the city, made reservations for us for dinner, called taxis for us, and answered countless questions we had. The hotel felt like home...more like an apartment than hotel. Although not overly fancy, it was clean, the room was large, bathroom HUGE, and had a nice TV with an astonishing number of channels. Breakfast was basic and perfect including cappuccino, espresso, and hot chocolates for the kids whenever we wanted. Cristiano is the Cappuccino King by the way according to Michele (Cristiano agreed!!). The guys were incredibly accommodating. We also enjoyed chatting with Cristiano about sports! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the near by Baldo Degli Ubaldi Metro stop which goes to the Vatican and also to Termini so you can transfer easily to Colosseo and all the other site stops. We had great dinners near by at the Fish Food (funny name) restaurant and Pinsa & Gusta Pizzeria which were both spectacular! P&G has the most delicious pizza's for about 5e-6e each. Best in the city for the money. McDonalds is also 10 seconds away, plus the convenience of a bank and full grocery store right across the street. The bus is also right there with a Tabbachi also a few second walk to get bus tickets etc... All in all, this place is a fantastic bargain!

Good value Hotel
The hotel is small and located in an apartment block. The reception is upstairs. I had a bit of difficulty finding it as it is not obvious from the outside with no visible signage. Reception closes at 8pm which is a bit inconvenient and late check in costs more. After 8pm there is no one available if you need anything. However the hotel is good and comfortable and clean and very good value and so I would recommend it. The area has no attractions although the metro is available and is a 10 minute walk up a hill.

Front desk staff does not have the best personalities, but they usually responded to our needs. The room was very comfortable. The wifi stopped working one evening which was frustrating. Overall I would definitely stay there again. Good value. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room and they don't nickle and dime you for everything.

Value for money, clean and friendly staff
We are a family of 4 with teenage children who booked our trip to Rome in May through Expedia back in December. From the website info we selected HoR hotel based on price, location, availability of family rooms and breakfast being included. As the hotel is to the west of the centre of Rome we printed large scale maps of the area from Google maps to assist with navigation on foot from the Metro to the hotel. From Fiumicino airport we took one of the buses to Termini (8E return each) and then the Metro (Line A) to Baldo degli Ubaldi. At Termini the metro ticket machines are located below ground level close to the metro entrance; the machines at entrance level appear to be for national rail. The walk from the Metro to the hotel takes approx 10 mins (15 mins with luggage!). The hotel including entrance forms part of a larger apartment block and is therefore not easily recognisable at first sight. The staff who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming and provided all the practical help we required both on arrival and during our stay. The immediate area is non tourist with limited shopping/eating facilities but on busy road with good bus links into the centre of Rome. We tried 2 restaurants there which were enjoyable (Rimpizzamose & La Forchetta) and the supermarkets were well stocked. For the buses we purchased single BIT tickets at 1.5E each from a nearby cafe. Do not be tempted not to validate these on the bus as we witnessed 4 Italian inspectors jump on and issue spot fines

Nice Hotel
Heart of Rome is one of three hotels grouped together. Reception is on the 1st floor in one section, the breakfast room on the 2nd floor above reception, and our room was in another section. Elevators make everything accessible. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful; the room was cleaned very well; breakfast was diverse and satisfying. I had a room for my 20 and 21 year old daughters and me which was a queen bed and a trundle bed. They shared the queen and I slept on the single. The room has a small refrigerator and a TV which we didn't use. There is a bus line right out front that has a 5-10 min ride to the Vatican complex. The Metro is about a 20 min walk up and over a hill a few blocks away. There are a few restaurants in the immediate area that are quite satisfying. Being in a neighborhood away from tourist attractions the cost of meals is more than reasonable. A nice, clean hotel with an excellent staff that is more than affordable on the outskirts of downtown Rome.

We enjoyed our stay at Heart of Rome. The staff were all so friendly. Our train to Rome was delayed and we arrived late to the hotel, but Damiano waited patiently outside for us to check us in. Michael gave us great advice on how to tour the city. Room was spacious enough for our family of five. The only minor thing I'll recommend is for the to put towel/ robe hooks in the bathrooms. Otherwise excellent hotel, would definitely stay there again if we visit Rome again.

Neat and Big rooms with central location.
It is excellent. The reception was warm and the room is very big with a very big and neat toilet. To our surprise there is a big balcony, surrounded with garden. Room is clean and neat and with proper maintenance. This is the biggest room in our Europe trip. The people at reception guided properly for our Rome visit. We enjoyed the Hotel along with the Rome visit.

Hotel is about 20 minutes from Metro.
Hotel is a reasonable walk from Metro station from where it is easy to get into centr of town. Although the hotel room was small it had everything we needed and was very clean. Good selection of continental breakfast items. Check in was simple and speedy and everyone very friendly and helpful.

We were a family of five in the room. It was great to have the option though it does not leave much room. The bathroom was humongous and functional but appearance was not pristine (flaky paint). Room was nice and clean. Service was friendly and helpful. Location is very central though the free parking felt a little unsafe.

The service and rooms were great, with a true family touch. The only minor, minor complaint we had was that it was very difficult to find given that it is located in an unmarked apartment building, so maybe that should be made a little clearer upfront. Otherwise, rooms were modern and comfortable, with a great shower and free wifi that really worked, and the breakfast provided by the hosts was really enjoyable.

Great accommodation for weekend in Rome
B&B staff could not be more helpful accommodating our requests for late check-in, transport to and from airport, arrangements for birthday celebration and providing information on getting to and from Rome's attractions as well as places to eat in the locality. The room was very modern and clean with a balcony and en-suite facilities set in a lovely apartment block. Double glazing ensured that the noise from the street did not disturb us. The Vatican is about 15-20 min walk from the hotel and 30-35 min walk to the centre of Rome. Great location and accommodation for a fantastic weekend in Rome. Definitely would use again.
