A good simple "base camp" for the traveler who just needs somewhere to rest and recuperate after a long day's exploring. It's clean, has good internet, and the location across from the central terminal could not be more convenient. Also, the staff was all very cordial and helpful. It's not fancy, but I liked it. recommended.

Hosts were very friendly and the housekeeping is excellent. The beds were comfortable and the location is convenient. It is not the fault of the place that the Italian government is so inept they can't manage trash and homelessness near the train station. The area is FILTHY, garbage and human waste all over the streets. There are homeless people screaming outside the building almost all day and all night long.

Hotel Ciao is centrally located near the train station which is why I booked it. Looking at the photos of the rooms online did not match the room I received, which was very outdated and in need of repairs. The room I stayed in was the "triple" room. The bathroom shower did not drain so I had to turn off the water every 30 seconds and wait a few min before turning it back on. The shower curtain nearly touched the toilet, so you can visualize how small the bathroom was. Pretty inconvenient, as the floor was wet where one would put their feet to use the toilet. The staff members were nice and provided a voucher for a croissant and coffee at a nearby coffee shop which was appreciated. And they were flexible with check-out to be between 10 and 11AM which also was nice as it allowed for more time to explore. PROS: nice staff, good location, cafe voucher, clean room. CONS: outdated rooms, expensive for 1-star hotel ($200 CAD), issues with bathroom. Overall, I think you can find a better hotel for a similar price.

Pros: - very friendly staff running the hotel and also very helpful - location is central and walking distance to Rome city Centre - ensuite bathroom - close to termini - for those who have early morning trains Cons: - I was told location can be dangerous as too many pickpockets and homeless people around termini. I never encountered any problems though - room is tiny and a bit claustrophobic - bathroom shower area is very tiny and no place to keep your soap/shampoo, etc - toiletries = 1 packet of shower gel - there is no sign of hotel ciao at all. So if you hadn’t read the reviews and didnt know that you need to register at hote luciani, you will never find hotel ciao - what they didn’t tell you - hotel Luciani is on the first floor and there is no lift. So if you are a solo traveler, you will have to haul your bags up to check in. Not a big deal for me, but may be for many. Overall: - very basic rooms, cannot be considered a hotel. Not really cheap considered what you are getting but then again, Rome ain’t cheap! :)

"When in Rome"
Hotel Ciao is adjacent to Roma Termini and thus has immediate access to public transportation. It was super easy to find, the staff is multi-lingual, and our rooms were kept tidy. I would stay here again.

Comfortable and quiet enen though close to termini station for 2 min to walk. It was convience to trip other city. But you need to check in different location where close to walk.

Localização boa, hotel péssimo
Reservei um quarto para criança, namorinho berço, tive que pagar 30 euros pelo berço, tínha um lance imenso de escada, até chegar no elevador, era horrível, subir com mala, Carrinho de bebê, mochila, criança, foi péssimo, terrível, muito desagradável, a Hotéis deveria fazer vistoria nos hotéis antes de disponibilizar no site, ou pelo menos avisar a inexistência de elevador

Dear Luana, The statement regarding the lift makes us think that perhaps this review is about a different hotel since, your family used it during your stay in ours. We were caught by suprise by this review as your partner praised us and expressed his contentment about the services provided like the extended check out until 12.00 free of charge plus the bag storage. Baby cots and extra beds comes with an extra cost as indicated in our terms and condition. Please also be informed that our hotel has been classified by the competent authority as a one star due to limited facilities and therefore nothing ilicit has been found.

Hotellet ligger väldigt nära järnvägsstationen Roma Termini (bara tvärs över gatan). Rummet var bra och svalt, trots +28C utanför. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och serviceinriktad. Rent och snyggt fast hotellet är gammalt. Dock lite svårt att hitta hotellet för hotellskylten var väldigt liten. Leta efter en stor träport. De bilder.

Boa estada, excelente localização com proximidade de transporte público e ao lado da estação Termini. Hotel simples, mas com bom custo benefício. IMPORTANTE: O Hotel Ciao é como um anexo do Hotel Luciane[onde é feito o check-in, check-out e café da manhã (custo extra, EUR$5,00 por pessoa na época que me hospedei).

Jeg hadde bestilt to rom, men min venninne måtte melde forfall. Det sto i avtalen at rommene ikke var refunderbare, men de oppgraderte i stedet rommet mitt. Rommet var enkelt og fint med utsikt mot gata og jernbanestasjonen. Veldig sentralt, hyggelig strøk. Hotellresepsjonen lå i gata ved siden av og personalet var utsøkt hyggelige.

Tal como lo había leído, en las afueras del hotel se llena de indigentes por las noches, pero no tuvimos ningún problema, hablan muchos idiomas, la habitación es amplia. El checkIn se da en un hotel diferente (al parecer son los mismos administradores). Está prácticamente a unos pasos de Roma Termini.

Das Hotel ist von aussen nicht als solches zu erkennen, befindet sich in einem privaten Wohnhaus. Die Rezeption befindet sich in einem anderen Gebäude. Etwas mühsamer Check-in, aber sehr günstig und gute Lage am Bahnhof.

Para quem busca um hotel do lado da estação ferroviária com bom preço mas que não se preocupa com luxo e conforto. A equipe é bem atenciosa e nos permitiu um check in antecipado. A recepção está localizada em uma outra rua diferente dos quartos. Elevador bem antigo.

싸게 역에서 정말 가까운 숙소를 잠만 잔다면 추천. 짐이 많다면 체크인을 다른 호텔에서 해야하므로 꽤불편 그래도 그 쪽 호텔분이 나오셔서 짐을 옮겨주셔서 다행. 안에 에머니티는 고사하고 전기포트도 없음

Me gustó mucho ya que está en frente de Roma termini y hay opciones para comer, farmacia, panadería, supermercado, cajero automático, compra de recuerdos, renta de moto, bus. El único tema un poquito incómodo es q hay q hacer check in a una cuadra y subes escaleras con las maletas (si son pesadas y grandes es incómodo) y luego te llevan al hotel a esta muy cerca, fuera de eso estuvo bastante bien, ah también tiene un frigobar
