A lovely hotel with excellent friendly helpful staff. The hotel decor is extremely nice but our twin bedded room was very small and basic. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, a large TV with no english speaking channels and the only mirror is in the bathroom. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with a bar to sit on and serves an excellent breakfast. The hotel is in an really good area with a great selection of restaurants and supermarkets on the door step. Also very easy to get around the City with the Metro nearby.

Drains in the shower and washbasin were clogged, the staff didn’t put soap in the bathroom in three days, breakfast was not good, elevator was out of service and with many stairs to climb and heavy luggage to carry it sometimes can be challenging For the price they should improve the installations

Dear Alvaro,I'm really sorry that you did not like our hotel, it never happenedthat the drains in the shower and washbasin cannot be clogged all together, in a maintenance operator who solves this kind of issues immediately. Concerning the soap you should have watched inside the drawer, we always put a double set inside. The building of the hotel is from the late 18th century and accordingly the elevator and the stairs, a modernisation is even forbidden by law.Anyway thank you for having been our guest, kind regards from RomeGiuseppe BellissimaùOffice manager

This was my families third time choosing to stay at Hotel Relais dei Papi. It is a nice place, friendly staff, great rooftop to relax on at the end of your day exploring. We will be returning again in 2024 and considered trying somewhere else just for variety but decided to just stick with where we know we will be treated right.

Great hotel
Great stay overall, clean room, helpful staff and perfect location. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the rooftop terrace, which has a bar on an evening, offering excellent views of Vatican City!

Very spacious for the 5 of us. Each kid had their own beds. Everything was modern. The cleaners did amazing job everyday. Shower was relaxing. Enough conditioning for all the rooms. Better view of the vatican city from the terrace. The only issues, water did not drain fast in both showers and breakfast was not complimentary.

Great stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great rooftop patio we used every night to wind down. Nice little breakfast. The padded cloth wallpaper in the rooms is due to be changed but all in all we were happy.

The description and pictures are not depicting the reality. In reality, everything is smaller than expected. The breakfast is ok but not exceptional. There is no bar and the music is too loud on the roof terrace. The receptionist feels very fast overwhelmed. This is not adapted to families with young kids.

Nice Hotel, but needs some improvements
Front desk is very helpful. Convenient location near great restaurants. About a 15 minute walk to the Vatican. 7 minute walk to the train. Roof top is very nice. Negatives: Bed is very firm. Hot tub needed some repairing. It works well, but a stopper at the bottom came out, plus there's a leak from one of the faucets. We paid for the deluxe room to get the hot tub, but I would likely not do this again for the price. The shower also had poor water pressure.

This hotel is in a fabulous location - very close to the Vatican City, easy to get across to the tourist locations however far enough out that it is peaceful and has some good value, good food restaurants. The hotel doesn’t have a bar but has a make shift vending machine to buy reasonably priced drinks to take onto the phenomenal roof terrace. Rooms are very funky and large and the breakfast is good. Would stay again - could not be faulted for the value.

Booked the day before. Good position for St. Peter’s square. Great room, was clean and a good size, had a superior room with a jacuzzi bath. Breakfast had usual choices of continental breakfast . Rooftop had seating and a bar in the evening. Would recommend and would be happy to stay again

Fab stay
Stay was really good. Guiseppi and Dominico on reception were really friendly and so helpful. We originally were given a double when we had booked a twin but they changed our room the next morning. Even moves our luggage for us while we were out on our tour. Great location, 10 mins stroll to Vatican and same to lepanto metro staton which connects to termini. Clean and comfortable ans I would stay again for sure. Also felt safe there and some really good restaurants in the Prati area. Less touristy and more relaxed pace than centre of rome. If you like basic, comfortable clean place to base yourself with a fab roof terrace with amazing views, then don’t hesitate to book here

I booked a room for my two daughters for five nights to give them a break from hostel life on their Italy trip. The staff were excellent, super accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great. Location excellent and value for price very good. Recommended!

If it weren’t for John at the Front Desk, I would rate this stay even lower. He went out of his way to help with my disable parent, he got us 2 rooms quite close to each other and facilitated the logistics of a hotel which is not disable-friendly. The roof top was also quite nice. Shame the gym was out of action and we were not notified during the booking process. Location is excellent for the tourist stuff. Thanks John!

I liked it! The beds were a bit stiff but other than that the staff was very friendly. Nearby we had the Vatican. The hotel staff was very helpful in providing tipa for tourism. There were restaurants nearby! Loved their rooftop! Sadly its only opened in the evening

Great stay, close to most of the important visits in Roma. Very helpful and kind receptionist and shared to us all necessary information about what to visit and how. 5 min walk to the vatican 😀 Nice roof to relax in the evening with a drink
