This is about as convenient of a place as you could hope for in Rome. You are surrounded by restaurants and shops, and you can walk two blocks and see the Colosseum. The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are less than a 20-minute walk.
The door to get in is unmarked, so you have to push the Nicolas Inn button to the left of the door. The guy working here is SUPER nice and helpful. The place is a four-room apartment on the second floor. It is safe and secure.
Our room was a king bed and single to sleep three people. The king is two twin beds pushed together. The mattresses are small and hard and the air conditioner won't go below a certain temperature. They do clean the room every day.
Again, if you want convenience and safety, then this is a great place to go. Otherwise, if comfort is your primary concern, then I would look elsewhere.
