"The play area of the hostel is ok for kids. The Personal is ok. Not American standard at all regarding customer's service! The structure is old, smelly and does not have air conditioning units, nor normal towels to make a decent shower, and rooms doesn’t have independent bathrooms. There are just sleepy units at 150 chf/ night. All rooms have sharing bathrooms. The swimming pool is ok but full of small children, even in the only jacuzzi… I would say 1 star motel with some facilities for kids....

Always helping with Directions and Helpful tips. High praise for all of them. The Location was Excellent the Room was a nice Size and Always Clean. Close to transportation, dinning and Shops. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Train station and Boats. We went Paragliding from Lucerne With CAP Paragling Tony. Highly Recommend this Hotel for Location and Very helpful staff."

"The hotel lobby is elegant but relaxing. The staff are all super nice and attentive. The rooms are a bit basic but very clean and comfortable. Windows open wide which gave a nice breeze at night. Location is great. Just outside of old town. It’s far enough not to hear noise all night but close enough to easily walk to anyplace we needed to go. Buffet breakfast was really good in an elegant dinning room looking out at the mountains and lake!"

"Very nice location situated close to the old town, shopping area, main train station and very close to a bus stop (Europe stop of 6 and 8 bus, if youre too tired to walk) which give you a balance being away from the hussle and bussle of the commerical area but not too quiet and away from your necessities as well as having a very nice view of the the Pilatus mountain and Lucerne Lake from our balcony. Staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Hotel gave us our visitor pass that gives us free bus ride within Lucerne. We opted to do the breakfast buffet (lots of cheese and delicious waffles) which save us money too!"

"We stayed at Cascada in Lucerne for 4 nights. Overall, the location was very convenient to the town, trains, buses, and just walking around to basically everything. The hotel was clean and very functional for our family of 3. The rooms were functional but small. Thats ok because most of Europe has small hotel rooms. The amenities in the room were great such as excellent coffee, safe, and toiletries. The issues we had were that the air conditioning made a loud noise every 15 minutes. It was almost like the unit needed servicing and was about to fail. We didnt tell the staff partly because we were so busy out and about that when we remembered it was too late. The other reason was because the staff at the front desk was not very nice or hospitable. I dont know if its the culture of the swiss or this hotel but any time we asked a question it felt like they were bothered by us or irritated that we didnt already know. Being tourists it only made sense that we would ask about local places or how to go about finding a specific spot. We only asked them a question 2 times, once about booking a trip to the alpes, once about a beach. Both times they gave us information sounding sarcastic. The housekeeping staff was nice and friendly. Lastly, the location of our room faced the front but it was too noisy. When we left our balcony door open we can hear cars, the train and construction going on. Overall I would give it a 3 star for making us feel like we dont belong and the noise."
