"No washing towels and no tissue papers inside the room for customers. No night light, had to share toilet and bathroom with many other travelers including some very noisy young children who were runing between toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens. Had to walk a long way to the public toilets and bathrooms which was a nightmare especially during a dark night (we felt lucky that was not raining during midnight when I and my wife went to the public restroom). There were not clothes hooks inside the bathroom either."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Unique and Memorable Stay Galaxy Hotel is a truly unique and charming boutique property. The hotel is petite, cozy, and beautifully designed, creating a very special atmosphere. What made the stay unforgettable was the incredible roof window above the room. Being able to lie in bed and look directly at the night sky was magical. Lake Tekapo is famous for its dark skies, and the rooftop window gave me a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the stars from the comfort of my room. The experience felt peaceful, intimate, and unlike any other hotel stay I’ve had. If you’re looking for something special and want to experience the beauty of the night sky, I highly recommend Galaxy Hotel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Overall staff were helpful and the room was clean and warm, but I felt communication around checkin was lacking. For instance, our room was not ready for checkin for 2 hours and we were only told later on that the air con needed maintenance."

"Could not find much to fault. The room was spotless, well appointed, with mini fridge, table, two chairs, with an enviable view of the lake. The shower/bathtub was a plus. However it did not have a microwave nor was not able to log on the internet. Very pleased with my room."
