The Mule Deer Lodge was great for our group of 4 old friends going on our 29th straight summer get-away. Four bedrooms plus a big, completed basement. Four bathrooms, with one in the basement. Nice kitchen. Excellent deck, tables and hot tub. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed the cabin, in spite of somethings that we had issues with. First, I want to say, that the cabin felt cozy, especially, with the fire in the living room. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. All in all, the cabin is very lovely, although, a bit outdated. The cabin was fully carpeted, which didn't help the inside look. We have been renting large cabins for 15 years in a row, minus the covid period. We are familiar on how carpets look at first sight, that should have been properly, cleaned. The carpet did not have the usual streaks that a vacuum leaves. We used our car vacuum and sure enough, we picked up a lot of dirt and hair. The carpet itself, looked dirty and we just imagined how many people have walked through, dripping wet, after a dip in the hot tub. We found a lot of long black hair in the master bedroom shower stall and my husband's hair is short and mine is bottle blonde. The rest of the party, never set foot in our restroom. All the towels in the restrooms smelled dirty and musty, as if they had been in a hamper for months and taken out and hung up for us to use. We didn't realize this until the first shower, so we had no recourse, but to use them as is. We washed them and they had a clean smell, afterward. We understand that pine needles fall and we are used to this, because we always rent a cabin in the fall. However, we are used to maybe, an inch or two of fallen dry needles, but in this case, the needles were everywhere,

The cabin was great, easy to arrive at, clean, and very spacious.
This Cabin was awesome! Very spacious. The property owner was available to talk throughout my stay and addressed all my concerns. Hummingbird cabins has always been great.
Overall, it suited our needs for space. Location and neighborhood were great. The house is outdated, so the showers didn’t work great. The kitchen amenities were not very good for a house of that size. Dishes, utensils, basic spices, etc. could have been much better.
This cabin truly exceeded our expectations. It was so spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom was enormous. The 4 bathrooms made life so much easier, especially with 3 teens and 4 adults. The deck was amazing and we had deer coming up to the back deck all weekend. It was a perfect weekend!
All my kids and a son in law all have birthdays in the same week. We planned this adult only trip to celebrate all them. I had a medical emergency that could not be taken care of 8n your beautiful village and we had to leave early. But, we’d certainly consider returning at sometime, everything was lovely
Overall I was dissatisfied with the non cleanliness of the place. The linen smelt like it had never been washed and the pillows were even worse. Same with the towels and bathrooms. The stay was ok for what it was worth.
Just wished all the doors and windows had mesh screens so we could have let the fresh air in without the mosquitoes, spiders, etc... the house got a bit hot, but the extra ventilation would have help that also. Also, the jacuzzi water was not fresh, we were unable to use. Everything else was great! Thank you
Great cabin/location with unique wildlife experiences
Really enjoyed our stay and the home is a treasure. Recommend fixing the minor blemishes of the home from hot tub cover, shower doors, patio door, to patches on walls. Detail the outside of home. We are really clean tenants and take care of properties. Definitively a place we recommend to others and a place we will stay again.
My family (9 total) stayed at this cabin from December 24-29th. The place was perfect for our big family. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing and watching all the deer. Location was nice and quiet and only a few minutes from downtown shopping and from the tubing facilities. Only issue we had was cooking Christmas dinner, kitchen wasn’t really properly stocked for extensive cooking. Regular family meals were fine though. We will definitely be back!
Excellent cabin for a family of 7! Spacious rooms, hot tub was hot apon arrival. Our children loved seeing the wild life deer, right outside the cabin. Our boys had their own downstairs TV, for their gaming council. Extremely clean! The kitchen had everything we needed, just had to bring the groceries. We look forward to making it our yearly spot. Thank you so much.
