76 The Mint offers a family-friendly holiday home for 4 - 6 in the heart of historic Rye, just off Mermaid Street. The cottage is full of character and has been sympathetically updated to retain its cosy charm. Rye is full of character and charm with its cobbled streets and ancient buildings, restaurants, pubs and the Kino cinema. The Rye Nature Reserve, which is on your doorstep. There are six vineyards in the local region, offering tours and tastings; Tillingham, Gusbourne, Charles Palmer, Oxney Organic, Oastbrook and Carr Taylor. There are many local walks in the beautiful countryside, no need to get in the car. Camber beach with its famous stretch of sand is a 40-minute walk away, or a quick hop on the bus.

Notes:  travel cot and highchair available on request. This cottage welcomes guests of any age but it is set over three levels with two flights of relatively narrow stairs. Due to the nature of the Georgian banisters and the narrowness of the stairs, it is not possible to install stair gates. There are cargo-style nets that can be attached across the top and bottom of each flight to help deter the little ones, however they are not intended to be a robust barricade.

Lovely house in a perfect location

We are a group of 5 ladies who have been friends for 35 years and love our weekends away . Rye is a fabulous place and the house in a perfect location in Rye. The house has been decorated and designed so well with plenty of space for 5.Maybe a little snug in the sitting room but we managed to get cosy. The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely quality linen. Check in was ok, although we did need to ask for help as the directions to find the right gate weren’t altogether clear. We got there in the end! All in all a fabulous weekend in a lovely house. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Rye . Thank you
