Camber Sands is renowned for its magnificent seven-mile stretch of golden sands and spectacular seascape and sunsets over the sea. The surrounding area, owned by English Nature is a Site of Special Scientific Interest boasting a diverse range of biological and geological features, many rare species of birds, plants and invertebrates.

This is an ideal beach holiday for young and old alike. Children will entertain themselves for hours with buckets and spades, treasure hunting, kite flying, beach games, water sports, fishing and walks. There is a golf course and sailing lake nearby, a beach cafe an ice cream parlour (you can even watch the children buying ice creams from the comfort of the terrace) and 7 miles of golden sand.

This is a perfect location for all seasons as you can admire the ever changing seascape in the summer sitting outside on the open terrace enjoying a BBQ and glass of Pimms or in the winter, snuggled around the cast iron stove with a hearty meal and glass of mulled wine.

There are a number of quality restaurants and eateries within walking distance from Stowaway. The Gallivant is one of the few restaurants to have been awarded two AA rosettes in the South East of England, The Owl, Rye Bay Café and The Dunes Bar all hold certificates of excellence with Trip Advisor and are within a five-minute stroll of the cottage. Beryl’s Café serves the most amazing home cooked breakfasts and meals throughout the day and it’s neighbouring farm shop ‘Salts’ sells a wide selection of good quality locally sourced products and hand-made frozen meals from the ‘Cook’ range.

Great location
Great location right on the beach as described. We went a bit out of season so some stuff around wasnt open, but it also meant the beach wasnt busy either. The property is just what you need for that type of holiday. The condition of stuff is alright, not sparkling new. The shower is a bit naff, a nice shower is sort of needed after sandy days. There is a bit of mould downstairs, but it is right be the sea, so not sure how you avoid that tbh. The walls to neighbours are thin so noisy neighbours can be an issue. Overall a good place to stay, great location, adquate facilities around and in the property.

Comfortable property with fab views. Perfect for our 3 generation break
A warm and welcoming property, appropriately furnished for a seaside break. Everything we needed from binoculars to 4 sizes of frying pans. Good quality bedding and a seating area outside with just one step on to sand. Camber Sands beach has to been seen. The view changes constantly with the tides, wind and sun.

Another wonderful weekend on the beach!
This was our second visit and it was as great as the first. The house is in an amazing location right on the beach. The house itself is perfect for a family with two children. Our favourite room is the sun room overlooking the beach.

Relaxing Break
We had a great time at this property which is right on the beach front. The house is very well equipped and has everything you need during your stay from a fully equipped kitchen to bucket and spades for the beach. It was so lovely waking up each day and looking out onto the beach. Fantastic location as well and footsteps away from the nearest fish and chip shop and ice cream cafe. We would defiantly recommend this to others and will come back again next year.

Lowry painting
This is a terrific holiday home. Right on the sands. Looking out of the front windows was a treat. Over the Christmas period hundreds of visitors with more dogs than you see at Crufts walked the massive beach, because of the light they looked like a scene from a Lowry painting. Our dog loved it too. House is very well equipped. Only problem we had was a massive puddle outside (it rained!) Meant we had to build a bridge to get to the carpark area but clearly not the fault of our hosts. Thoroughly recommend this home
