Great food, great vibe, great staff. Recommended!
The host was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome, very attentive and chatty without being intrusive. Also knew his stuff and the local area.The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, especially the breakfast. The menu was a good mix of traditional with creative. We ate there both nights. The room was modest but stylish, clean and comfy and quiet given there was a bar downstairs. The atmosphere was warm with a nice mix of locals and guests. You didn't feel like you were intruding on the locals at all. Couldn't really ask for more at such a reasonable price. My only comment is the ale could have been better but then I'm a real ale snob. Would definitely recommend to anyone but especially to those looking for a cosy pub / traditional inn type vibe with amazing menu!

The host of The Horse and Cart was very welcoming . The accommodation was very comfortable and the roll top bath was luxury. The staff were very pleasant and very courteous.

The stay was amazing. Right from when we checked in with our dog. The staff we extremely friendly. Showed us to our room and the food was delicious. Great customer service and we will definitely be back.

The Horse and Cart had a warm and friendly vibe. The staff/team were always friendly and helpful. It was great to sèe a manager so involved. The room was lovely and environment was spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a visit. 😊

Clean and comfortable. Parking availability poor as busy in the pub.Would have been nice to have some water, milk and possibly a biscuit on the tea tray. Otherwise staff attentive and pleasant.

Theo and the guys at The Horse & Cart were amazing. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, its a lovely little pub and the food was delicious. My fiancee and I had a lovely nights rest and couldnt have asked for more from this awesome local pub.

Lovely night away
Lovely stay at the Horse &Cart, host was exceptional from checking in to checking out. Made such a difference, the food was amazing and the breakfast was superb. Would definitely recommend.

A great place to stay.
What a lovely, friendly relaxing place. Our trip was originally booked for a couple of weeks before, but following the storms we were advised they had no power, rebooked with hotel.com (who are not the easiest company to deal with, but we got it sorted in the end!) Our stay was great, the room was clean and comfortable with a super ensuite. We stayed two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings, I think I can honestly say that I have never had such delicious fish and chips. The breakfast had many choices and was, again great! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We will be going back again, I'm sure!

Very nice little hotel. Was checked in by a lovely lady. Had a great evening meal. Stayed in room 3 which had a lovely comfy bed and then had a cracking brekkies. Couldnt fault a thing. Great service at breakfeast too.

Welcoming Country Pub
A lovely country pub feel. Extremely welcoming staff and the pub itself has that whole welcoming feel from staff and locals alike. Very clean. Stayed for one night and found the room to be sufficiently equipped for our comfort and with a lovely bathroom.

A lovely pub with top quality accommodation and breakfast. We said with our 10y daughter and had a lovely large en-suite room. Really comfortable beads and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Definitely recommend.
