"We stayed at the Badlands campground for three night the first week of September 2026. We were confused and pleasantly surprised when we had to drive through the Badlands to get to the campground. It was right at sunset and such a beautiful drive. Check in was excellent. I can’t remember her name, but she was so friendly and helpful. Our room was the perfect size for the two of us. The bed was comfortable enough, although I think they need to flip the mattress—we felt a bit like we were sinking. The room was clean and the A/C worked wonderfully to keep us cool on the 90°+ days. Other than rotating the mattress, my only other suggestion would be for them to put some sort of table in the bathroom that would provide space to set items on. There is plenty of room in the bathroom for something. Also, the walls are really thin so if you have loud neighbors like us, you will hear every word of their conversations."

"The hotel is about 1 block from Wall Drug and the lively downtown strip. The entrance to Badlands NP is just a few minutes away. It’s a great destination when traveling through the area. The hotel is dated but well maintained, charming and quaint. The staff are super friendly."

"The location was perfect. Less than 10 minutes from the entrance to Badlands National Park. Everything seemed new and fresh at the house. I had never stayed in a tiny house before but my daughter and I were very comfortable. It's not a beautiful location but a perfect place to rest after a day at the park. Highly recommend! One thing to note: you might want to bring food with you. Very few options for restaurants and groceries. There's a nice grill you can use at the house along with a small but workable kitchen."
