"Great ryokan with lovely onsen. Water was very hot but relaxing. Half board banquet style meals were a lot of fun along with wearying the traditional Japanese clothing. Lots of selection and different kinds which was nice. Room was huge and the outdoor tub was lovely. Recommended for sure. "

"Good CP value: When i arrived, staff told us that we can have free breakfast. There is a public hot bath place too. There are not much restaurants nearby. It is a quiet place. "

"Be careful to choose smoking room or non-smoking room. Non smoking floors are filled with smell, if you don’t choose non-smoking room they will automatically put you into smoking room. For its price it is good enough. "

The hotel restaurant is one of the best serving famous local beef and hotel guests have a decent discount. Highly recommended for visiting Yamagata."
