"Very clean hotel, friendly staff and a good atmosphere especially with the entertainment of an evening. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Unfortunately the shower pressure was terrible and the mattress was awful."

"Very friendly staff, the room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The pool was full of kids so we didn't went for a swim. Breakfast was good and had many options. The car park was quite full and the spots were a bit tight (even worse because a lot of people didn't know how to park 🙃) But overall was a nice experience! Highly recommend it!"

"So this is a review of two parts. If you are lucky to be in one of the newer refurbished rooms which is what you see on all the pictures then I can understand the higher scores for this hotel. However, if you are in the extremely dated rooms this is a different review altogether. The 1st room given was extremely dated and tired with mould on the bottom part of one of the walls. There was marks on walls, the windows you could barely see out of due to how dirty they were. The room itself I would say maybe had had just the bed linen and towels changed. I don't think it had been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. The kettle in the room was rank. The lad on the desk agreed to change our room. To what was by no means any better. Still not like advertised, dirty kettle, thread bare carpet, marks on walls etc and this room smelled. So back to reception ready to call it a day. Explained the room is not as advertised etc. we are then given a refurbed room. Which was nicer, smelled clean. We stayed the night it was comfortable but had no confidence in the cleanliness of the place to stay for breakfast. The corridors were not clean either with litter on stairwells. When you stay here please check with them that you get what they advertise online. They charge a £50 breakages deposit which based on the first two rooms is bonkers. The staff we spoke to were nice and did what they could. This is the first time I have felt a room was so bad I was prepared to just leave and cut my losses."

"Good location. Lovely greeting from the lady on reception. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of choice, sausage and bacon were particularly delicious. The only niggle we had was that the lights in the room had no option to dim..even a lamp for the evening would be an idea. Overall would stay again."

"First if all I would like to say I don’t usually review but felt it necessary in this instance. The room we had was OK but very noisy as you can hear every creak when you or somebody above is walking across the floor or past the room in the corridor outside. Cleaning was very poor as after cleaner had been, the beds hadn’t been made and the floors hadn’t been cleaned as bits were still there from before they started. The evening meal was a joke as you had to go to the bar and order and there was no table service. I had to carry a bottle of wine in a cooler and two glasses back to our table which was quite a walk from the bar. The bar service was even worse as big queues each time you went to get served and the garden bar at the front didn’t even have a server on one time I went and I had to go inside to get a drink and carry them down the stairs myself. The food was OK but nothing brilliant. Breakfast room was well run and food was hot and plentiful, but sometimes had dried out under the heat lights but overall it was good. Staff were pleasant but not over friendly only the ones on reception were friendly and helpful when they actually had anyone on reception which often they didn’t. Parking was fine as we got a parking space when we arrived and as we didn’t use the car again until we left. Needless to say we won’t be stopping here again."
