"The house was very nice but we had problems with electricity going off every day. The host said we were using too much power but we had 5 adults who all needed to charge phones, laptops, or hearing aids each night so that caused problems. We would wake up each morning with no power, no way to cook food with an all electric kitchen so food had to be discarded at times. We would not book at this place again."

"Very clean room. Staff all friendly and spoke English and French to us. Excellent location for the lake, train station and all amenities. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Comfortable beds. Corridor looks a bit run down but the rest of the hotel is fine."

"As a Freddie Mercury fan, it was quite a novelty to stay at this hotel, from the moment you walk in you see all Queen and Freddie art work. The hotel is directly accessible from the train platform which is very easy to locate. It is only about 5 to 10 minute walk to the main part of town into the waterfront. I was lucky enough to get a room with a Terrace and had a view over the back part of Montreux. They have central air-conditioning so you cannot change it however they do give you a fan to help with the heat. Overall I would give this hotel 8/10 and would stay again. "You cannot beat the location. Very close to the train station and right on the main walkway that lines the lake. While I have read others rave about the breakfast, we did not feel the same way. 30CHF was a bit steep. While there was a wide selection of food - pancakes, an egg station, cheese/meet and fruit, we thought most of the prepared food didn't taste that great, just lacked seasoning, but I guess to be expected from a buffet. I think if you are going to get breakfast from here it is almost better to order stuff individually or find a cafe nearby. Other than that, the staff were all very nice, the free coffee, water, candy and popcorn station was a hit with our son and we enjoyed being able to step right out of the hotel and walk down the pathway along the lake."

"Staff is great, amenities are lacking. One would think smart tv’s would be everywhere, allow you to log in to watch tv. Old TV’s, poor channel selection, and ok mattress, not very comfortable. No parking nearby, if you have several bags you will struggle getting them to the hotel. Currently construction in front and they have parking agreement with parking garage however it is one use per day. If you plan on going out, stay gone for the day, they will only allow one validation per day for 20CHF."

"30 min walk to U of Laussane, or by bus is around 20 min. Grocery store Aldi right downstairs, and Migro about 5 min walk. Housekeeping is by request, hanging the tag outside the door before noon. Staff is super friendly and helped me with a transit pass. Merci beaucoup a vous !"

"5/5 ⭐️ Excellent location directly across from the train station, which made getting around incredibly easy. A big plus was having air conditioning in the rooms, especially during the summer months. Just be aware that the restaurants are not air-conditioned, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during hot weather. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!"
