"Had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful Gite which located in the stunning Dordogne countryside. Everything about this property is first class from the quality beds and linen to all of the many first rate appliances, a proper home from home with nothing missing. The pool was an absolute godsend as was the highly efficient and quiet air conditioning which is present in every room. The location was perfect just a 5 minute drive from the beautiful medieval town of Monpazier. Sonia and Mark were...

"We stayed for a week and hired both gites for our family. It was utterly perfect in every way - we wanted for nothing. We most enjoyed the privacy of the main pool which overlooks luscious countryside bustling with life and the stunning western sunsets in the cool sky. "le loueur est un homme charmant qui a des choses très intéressantes à raconter sur son amours des chevaux. Le gite est d'une propreté impeccable et dans un endroit isolé mais à un quart d'heure des courses et une demi-heure de la sous préfecture où il y a tout ce qu'on veut y compris cinéma, théâtre, manifestations festives et culturelles etc.. le hic ce sera la canicule qui ne relève pas de la responsabilité du propriétaire! Bref, excellent séjour."

Top Saint-Martin-de-Villereal Hotel Reviews

Château Hôtel Edward 1er

10/10 Excellent

"Exceptional Stay Once Again at Château Hôtel Edward We recently returned for another stay at Château Hôtel Edward, and it continues to exceed our expectations. Having stayed here previously, we are consistently impressed by the standard of excellence maintained across the board. The staff is truly outstanding—attentive, highly trained, and always going above and beyond to make every guest feel warmly welcomed and well cared for. Dining at the restaurant was a highlight of our trip. The food was excellent, paired with a well-curated selection of drinks that made each meal feel special. Château Hôtel Edward never fails to deliver a memorable, high-quality experience. We look forward to returning again soon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flawless getaway!"

Château les Merles

10/10 Excellent

"The Chateau was amazing. The staff were the most helpful team we have ever met. Travelling with a 4-month old baby was made so easy, by their care and understanding. They just couldn't do enough for us. Thank you, everyone. Our room was very large, the sitting room was great and a big spacious bathroom for the three of us. Eating outside was magical, in the courtyard with pretty lighting candles, etc. The food was incredible. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect. Thank you again, Roy and Jackie"

Maison de Campagne Avec Piscine

10/10 Excellent

"The house is in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location but only a 5-minute drive to the restaurants, bars and shops of Villereal (which is a very beautiful town). The house is pet-friendly and our dog loved the large garden to chase her ball or explore. Bernard, the host showed us around on arrival and provided help if we needed anything, but was not intrusive. We received a welcome gift on arrival, which was a very kind gesture. Although, Bernard and his family live next door, the house is very private and all facilities are exclusively for guests. The house was very clean and comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxing holiday. It was also nice and cool inside, but the air conditioning was very much appreciated when the temperatures soared. The garden, pool area and outside terraces were lovely areas for relaxing or enjoying an evening meal or drink. The house is perfectly located for visiting the nearby towns of the Dordogne and Lot, many within a 15-minute drive. We would definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for accommodation in the area."

House with private swimming pool, in the heart of south-west

10/10 Excellent

"Le lieux eté agrèable mais cuisine principale interieur, salle à manger et salon à l'étage ce qui est un peu embetant avec une belle piscine mais pas de jardin seul une petite surface d'herbe. Pas spécialement concue pour une famille avec enfants(trop d'escaliers, espace exterieurs pour enfants joués trop petit)."

Riverside House with pool, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, spacious with all ammenities

10/10 Excellent

"Really good stay. Communication with the host was simple and flexible after a mix up with dates. The house itself was lovely and worked really well for our extended fmily stay. The location is superb and the use of both the pool and the river was ideal given the nearly 40 degree heat. Really enjoyed it"

Hôtel Mercure Villeneuve sur Lot Moulin de Madame

10/10 Excellent

"A beautiful hotel situated in an old windmill, right next to the river, with amazing views. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped and the shower is great. All of the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our evening meal was wonderful, as was breakfast, with a wide and varied range of excellent, fresh products. You can wander downstairs to sit by the river, passing through a room containing the workings of the old windmill, a bit like a museum, which is really interesting. There is a huge free car park, including spaces with electric charging points."
