"It was my first time staying in a hostel, and the proximity to the Nice-Ville station was a definite plus. I was a bit worried about the quality of the bed, the bathrooms, and the space, but I was truly impressed; I stayed for six nights in a 10-bed dorm, and I can tell you it felt like a hotel—great air conditioning, consistently clean bathrooms, and a super soft mattress, sheets, and pillow. I would definitely stay there again."

"Fantastisk hus. Rigelig plads til 18 personer. Lækker stor pool. Masser af køleskabs/fryser plads. Patio området er bare perfekt til at lave en bar hvor alle kan samles før middagen. Mulighed for masser af aktiviteter, tennis, bordtennis og petanque."

"We returned to Hotel Les Bastides for another great stay, and weren’t disappointed! Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms … the bathrooms are a little dated but they’re perfectly functional. Our room also had a private outdoor seating area. A small morning buffet spread is available if you pre-book your breakfast. The outdoor pool is popular, and there is ample parking - you’ll need a car to explore surrounding towns and villages. Great stay, as always."

"The day I arrived, I had lunch, a simple Salad Payssane, which was fine until my in one of my last bites there was a tiny pebble in my salad!!! I felt a hard crunch and immediately feared I had lost a filling or broke a tooth, only to find I had bitten a little piece of gravel! I mentioned it to the waitress, and she asked if I had broken my tooth on it and I said no. That was a good enough answer for her, and she said then it's all good. I mentioned the same to the front desk, and was told the owners would be informed. The next morning I had some confusion over breakfast, which seems to be my misunderstanding of French. There was a choice of continental breakfast, or a whole buffet. I only wanted the continental, but when I asked for a second cup of coffee, I was told it only came with one cup. She may have said that the second cup would cost extra, but she said two or three times that if I got the full buffet, I could get all the coffee I wanted. I thought that was my only other option, and I said no. Again, it may be my missing her saying a second cup would cost extra, and I would have paid for a second cup, but the whole encounter was a bit strange for a four star hotel. Coffee is not expensive, and this was an expensive hotel, a complimentary cup of coffee would have been a simple gesture, especially after the gravel in my salad. Other than that, it is a nice place, and the afternoon receptionist was extremely pleasant."

"Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen, wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet, der Pool und die riesige Terrasse waren Highlights für die Kinder. Die Lage ist hervorragend, man erreicht in kurzer Zeit etwa Grasse, Antibes, Nizza und Cannes. Die sehr freundlichen Gastgeber haben uns mit vielen wertvollen Tipps geholfen, die Kommunikation war sehr gut. Absolut zu empfehlen!"

"This is a fantastic villa that worked well for an extended family of 8, including the grandparents, the middle-aged parents and their teen to 21-year old children. The bedrooms are on multiple levels providing good separation of space, and most have their own exterior entrances/exits to the lawn, pool, and driveway. The bedrooms are all airconditioned, The walk to old St. Paul de Vence, although not very far, is mostly uphill, but several of the adults in the group did it multiple times. The house is generally well-equipped, and the house manager very accessible and helpful. A large supermarket is only a 15 min drive. The pool was fantastic, especially during the summer canicule (heatwave). For us, this was one of the best vacations ever."
