"Our stay at Steph's and John's home was perfect. Very authentic French home, it was very clean and shabby chic. Located right in the heart of the old part of town next to a beautiful bakery and great restaurants just across the street. They greeted us personally at our arrival l giving us great tips on restaurants wines and places to visit in the valley. The valley was fantastic many beautiful chateau's and countryside we will definitely come back and experience it again!"

"Well equipped beautiful cottage in the Loire countryside. Very Clean. Owners are very welcoming and friendly and have a vineyard 1/2 an hour away - worth the trip and the tasting. The house is close to Saumur which is lovely and has lots to see and do, including nice restaurants and is well located for visiting some famous historical sites like Chinon and Fontavraud Abbey. a very relaxing break."

Unfortunately the patio area is open nd shared with 3 properties. This meant there is no enclosed place for pets and not suitable. We had a barricade a safe area for our dogs and could not leave then unless inside which was very hot with the doors closed. The pool was also not clean on arrival, or cleaned during our stay. "A great stay overall. Hubert the Chateau owner is very friendly and helpful. The bedroom we stayed in was huge. We stayed the third week of september so a little chilly in the mornings when you got out of the shower!! Kitchen is fully equipped and a lovely big table for everyone to eat around inside and out. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with plenty of cycle paths and Chinon is 3 miles away and easily walked/cycled to. All in all a great stay."

"3 jours et demi pour visiter 7 châteaux et une abbaye. La location (entre Saumur et Tours) se situait exactement dans le secteur voulu pour la sélection de châteaux que nous avions faite. En campagne dans un endroit calme, la maison est sécurisée par portail et clôture. Nous avons été très gentiment accueillis par le propriétaire des lieux. "what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."
